Way to trip larger foes?

Advice

A player of mine is making a trip-build Monk. We're wondering if there is a way for his Medium size character to trip foes bigger than Large size without resorting to magic? Are there any feats out there that help?

Well, you know what they say. The bigger they come...

This combines well with Tandem Trip.

Silver Crusade

Once the foes are huge their CMD is usually too high for you to have much chance of tripping anyway ...

You have a few [probably futile] options:

* Enlarge Person to get Large
* Above feat

Really, though, it's best to forget about tripping foes that big.

Resort to magic.

Get large enough to have a legal chance of tripping a larger than Large.

Dip classes to use a wand of true strike.

Use said wand.

So far I found Ki Throw to be the only one that could do it.

Dark Archive

It's easy to keep your CMB up where you can trip huge; as far as "ways to do it", size adjusting is best. The halfling monk is also created to be able to trip foes extensively larger than them (and not even suffer penalties).

Ki Throw lets you do it (albeit draining your ki pool a lot for each use; ring of ki mastery can help there).

Not too much else; you'll face few enough enemies over HUGE size anyway, and geting consistantly into the 60s to trip the tarrasque is really, really, really hard.

5 levels of Titan fighter can do it... it's not a very good archetype, but there you have it.

Monks have in-class True Strike using Qinggong Monk. (Which is also nice because they can take Quicken Spell-Like Ability at 11th level to use it as a swift action.)

As other people have mentioned, getting large and using Ki Throw is the best bet.
