I am looking for one or two new players to join my heavily housed ruled 5e game, “Palace of the Vampire Queen.”
The game has many strange and often unpleasant house rules, but is otherwise a basic 5e game. Details about the game can be found here
The basic character creation rules of the original recruitment thread will be applied (ability scores are rolled using a 4d6 four times, and 5d6 rolled twice, use the best three dice from each roll and arrange as you desire).
The game has been running for a little while (a couple of months) and catching up on what is going on should not be difficult
I would like to see an Arcane caster join the group first (preferably a wizard), but I’m open to other suggestions.
If you are interested post here with any questions you have and I will answer them as quickly as possible
The adventure takes place on the island of Baylor, a dwarven controlled kingdom that is just south, across the sea, from the island of Urandoma, where my pathfinder campaign, “The Beginning of All Things” is currently set.

I have a Tiefling Sorcerer in the works at the moment. So if this will also suffice as an arcane caster, I'll roll his stats and fill out the rest of his profile. If its really needed, I can make him a Wizard.
4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 6, 3) = 11
4d6 ⇒ (5, 1, 4, 3) = 13
4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 2, 4) = 8
4d6 ⇒ (1, 1, 4, 1) = 7
5d6 ⇒ (4, 2, 2, 3, 4) = 15
5d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 5, 1, 3) = 17

I have been wanting to try out a high-elf wizard for some time.
Racially, I'm open to most anything that fits in the party, but a high-elf, human, or tiefling would be my ideal picks (in that order).
I envision the classic well-read wizard (sage background), but I see we have several religious party members, so a devoted wizard (acolyte background) would be a really interesting combination and still fit with the bookworm magic-user...
I'm also open if the party needs a different background (a folk hero wizard also has a fun hook as would a noble wizard). Basically, whatever it takes to get my character plugged into the group, I will find an interesting concept to fit.

So, I have a 4e mage Kai whose campaign fizzled out. He was a religious and high knowledge-skilled evocation wizard that had a habit of slipping into lecturer/teacher mode. It was interesting ad libbing his religious book knowledge, and it would be fun to revisit him.
I'd have to rework him for 5e, and change his race... but his concept was fun.
Do you still need a wizard?
Should I go about making some changes to him? I'd probably still stick with the fire themed wizard with an acolyte background.
