Adopted Social Trait Legal Races

Rules Questions

By whom (which races in the Advanced Race Guide) can your character be adopted?

Adopted: You were adopted and raised by someone
not of your race, and raised in a society not your own.
As a result, you picked up a race trait from your adoptive
parents and society, and may immediately select a race
trait
from your adoptive parents’ race. (Ultimate Campaign p. 59)

I understand the difference between "race" traits and "racial" traits but it is important to note so please be aware of the information below:

Race traits vs. racial traits

Additional Resources regarding Ultimate Campaign (2015-01-09)
Note: Race traits are only available for characters of the associated race. Religion traits are only available for characters of the associated religion. Traits: all traits listed on pages 51-64 are legal for play except corpse cannibal, hedge magician, natural-born leader, rich parents, and unblemished barrel.

Additional Resources

Since you attached the additional resources for PFS... It has to be a PFS-legal race.

Any races not normally allowed (along with their feats, magic items, traits and equipment) are only allowed via a boon as described in the additional resources document.

Thank you. I did not know if the Aasimar and Tiefling race traits could be accessed through the adopted trait. It appears not.

Thanks again,

There are no race traits in the Advanced Race Guide, though.

That is unexpected but correct. I assumed that it would be full of them. Thanks for your knowledge.
