So, Wand Wielder specifically states that it is used with Spell Combat. That informs me that this means the ability gives a limited form of Spell Combat that works only with Staves and Wands.
A blade adept can select from the following additional exploits.
Magus Arcana: A blade adept can select any of the following magus arcana, using her arcane reservoir in place of the magus's arcane pool: arcane accuracy, close range, critical strike, dispelling strike, hasted assault, and wand wielder. The blade adept treats her arcanist level as her magus level when determining the effects of magus arcana and when specific arcana are available. A blade adept can take this exploit multiple times. Each time it is taken, it applies to a different magus arcana.

Benefit: The magus can activate a wand or staff in place of casting a spell when using spell combat.
So, what are your thoughts on this?

I posted a similar question when ACG came out. Consensus was that it was most likely a mistake. Should probably have been Wand Mastery instead.

Your information is wrong. Wand Wielder enables a character that already has spell combat as a class feature to use wand casting instead of standard spell casting for that type of combat. It does not grant the feature any more than any other effect that enhances or changes a class feature would grant the class feature.

And you're wrong. In the source class it comes from, the Magus Wand Wielder EXTENDS the class's pre-existing spell combat ability to include staves and wands.

Too bad they do not get spell combat, i work out a way to get good bab with out going for EK. Is there any point to this Archetype if your not picking up spell combat?
I was able to get bab +12/+7/+2 by taking Evangelist at lv11-20 when i was playing about, only 3 less bab then a lv 20 Magus.
Not really, no. The Blade Adept is kind of terrible. That said, if you really want to try to make it work, Blade Adept Arcanist 5/Evangelist 10/Eldritch Knight 5. Gives you a BAB of +14.
The problem is that its abilities scale pretty miserably in the long game. Black Blade? You have a +5 weapon with some tricks. A Magus can boost that to +10 with their arcane pool, you can't (straight Arcanist can take it to +9, but that costs a standard instead of a Swift and requires you to have a terrible BAB, as the exploit won't scale well on the multiclass). Spellstrike? Scales horribly on its own. At level 10 with a Shocking Grasp you can probably do 11D6+static modifiers. The Rogue can do better than that. It works for the Magus because the Magus throws it on top of a full attack sequence, bringing together two attacks that would each have sub-par damage (Magi have an underpowered full attack, frankly, though Precise Strike solves that and then some) to produce solid damage.
The closest I've come to making the archetype work is in a gestalt game... by gestalting it with Magus. But then you're better off with a baseline Arcanist or another archetype.
