Suggestions for Summoner / Eidolon introduction ritual

I have recently agreed to GM a campaign with three players all of whom want to be Summoners. They asked me if, at the start of the campaign, we could play out a scene where their characters make their first summoning and meet their Eidolon for the first time.

I haven't found much specific information on paizo about what happens when a Summoner first bonds with his/her Eidolon and I'm having some creative blockage and finding it difficult to come up with something that isn't an obvious ripoff of a game or movie.

Does anyone have any ideas for this kind of scene or advice on how I can get the creative juices flowing to come up with something original on my own?

What's wrong with ripping off a game or movie? If it's something awesome then it's something awesome. Just put a slight twist on it for your own purposes and call it good.

On a more serious note: How the scene plays out would depend on the character. Are they fairly childish? Perhaps they were attempting to use magic out of a story book to make their favorite teddy come to life, and it did (sort-of). Are they very serious? Perhaps they knew exactly what they were doing and knew it would be potentially dangerous, but did it anyway and nearly died gaining their (scary-as-all-heck) eidolon's respect.

I definitely imagine a modified summoning circle being involved somehow, with a drop of the caster's blood required as an ingredient.

EDIT: Of course, nothing says it has to be something the caster did. The eidolon could have chosen them instead. Perhaps it knows something the summoner doesn't and protects them for that reason, or perhaps they don't trust their own judgement and hand the reigns to the summoner instead.

Ultimate Campaign pg. 41 has a bunch of canned backgrounds for summoners.

Otherwise read some manga or watch some anime dealing with spirits and such, adapt to Pathfinder. Imagine Tenchi Muyo being a high level brood summoner and all the girls were Eidolons. Synthesis summoners could steal from The Guyver. Fate/Stay Night works well for smarter bipedal Eidolons.

Have a "Well of Spirits" type item. It may be a type of cauldron. Each summoner needs to spill a drop of their blood into the cauldron and out will come a spirit bound to that blood. If the summoner and spirit accept each other, then the spirit becomes the summoner's eidolon.

But yeah, there's no harm in ripping off something from popular fantasy. Popular fantasy is popular for a reason. It's bound to have a few good ideas.
