I feel like 3 months out from Skull and Shackles, we had a lot of information - is WotR still set to hit in April? if so, we should be getting some more hints soon.
Given that a lot of things have been listed as provisional, what do we actually know for certain that's going to be in this AP
Right now I can think of:
- First appearance of a D20.
I know there's been a lot of speculation about characters, but can't remember how much was confirmed?

The base set and character add-on currently say "Expected May 2015".
From the recent blog post:
The Owner mechanic is one you'll be seeing more of in upcoming sets (coughWrathoftheRighteouscough)...
So, we know some cards will have the wwner mechanic.
From the base set product description, we know it will include these four classes:
7 character classes, including the all-new arcanist, cavalier, inquisitor, and summoner.
From the character add-on deck description we know it will include these three classes.
...including 3 all-new classes—bloodrager, hunter, and shaman.
Originally Zadim the slayer was mentioned as being in it. I'm not sure if we should take the fact that slayer isn't mentioned as one of the classes as a sign he isn't it or not. The lists in the description aren't exhaustive. But Paizo could also change their mind from July of 2014 to May 2015 about who to include and who not to include.

So far, the RPG Adventure Path iconics have been featured in their PACG counterpart. For example, Valeros, Merisiel, Kyra and Ezren were the iconics for Rise of the Runelords, and were included in the PACG set for Runelords.
Skull & Shackles featured Valeros, Merisiel, Seltyiel, and Alahazra, and they were all included in PACG: S&S.
If that trend continues, I expect we'll see Alain (confirmed above), Seelah, Merisiel, and Seoni since they were in the RPG AP. It makes sense, since using characters from the actual AP means less art that needs to be ordered for the card game since they can just pull directly from the books.
I think I remember a Wayne Reynold concept sketch of the new PACG: Wrath box art, but I don't have the link handy. It did have mythic Kyra on the front, so if that art ends up being official, that would make Kyra the last remaining character for Wrath.
If they stick to their current traditions, that is.

Bloodrager, Arcanist, Cleric, Paladin, Summoner, Cavalier are all in...see here:

There are several other threads on these forums where little tidbits are confirmed; a search for wrath + righteous seems to bring them up pretty readily.

I personally agree with swapping Merisiel with a different Iconic. It will be her 4th version.
Majority of the Pathfinder RPG players find the ACG version pretty dull and lacking anyway, based on the comments and reviews I've read, watched, and seen online.
So is it really crucial to always have to match every single Iconic that's in the RPG?
I get that the ACG Adventure paths are based off of the RPG paths but we are also a separate line and if majority of the ACG players feel that Merisiel can sit this one out, I think no one will complain. (but in reality there's always someone that complains: me?)
She can still be featured in the WotR arts. There is the Class Deck version that lets those who really really want to play Merisiel in WotR do so. Class Decks are designed for ANY adventure path, anyway.
To me, Paizo making the Class Deck versions of the 7 Iconics is supposedly so that they will not have to repeatedly release the same characters each time, all the time. If they do that, then it REALLY will get dull.
TL;DR: Like ThreeEyedSloth said, I'd rather see a new version Harsk/Sajan than a 4th Merisiel.

As much as I'd like to see someone else come back over a fourth edition of Merisiel, I'd much rather have the original iconics from that adventure path. Of course, part of the reason I'd rather see someone else is I don't like Merisiel in any of her forms and find her quite useless, so taking out my bias I'd actually 100% rather have her come back.
They are separate lines, but you still have things you stick to from the original product. One of which should be having the iconics from that product.

Yes we have to stick to following the RPG. I get that.
I'm just saying, the 'follow RPG' ideal could also be holding the potential of ACG back. Having Alain, Seelah, Seoni, but not Merisiel in the box is not ground breaking. You can have Merisiel from the Class Deck and still fulfil the RPG story aspect.
I'm pretty certain not everything in the RPG APs transferred to the ACG. Does that mean ACG is not following? Yes it still follows. Just not EVERYTHING.
Having just ONE of the original Iconics of WotR not be included in the Base Set doesn't suddenly mean we are not sticking with the original product. We still are, just not 100%. And ACG wasn't meant to be 100% like the RPG anyway.
So, What I'm trying to say is.. in my opinion, it's not straying away so much from the RPG by simply not having Merisiel in the Base Set. Seelah is still in it, Seoni, Alain. Merisiel still is a part of the AP if you want to through Class Deck.
But that's my opinion. If we have to stick with ALL the Iconics then we must. And I will still be fine with it. I just would rather not HAVE TO.
