Hello, my current gm and me have run into a small problem and we are not really sure how to handle it.
You see i´m about to play a Kitsune Rouge, who unfortunately is not really that strong. So he bought a Heavy, War Trained horse to carry his stuff and to of course travel on it.
Question is? Do i need Handle animal to control the Horse and ride it? You know make it stay at places and the other commands.
I would say no because i bought the horse so its already trained..
However we are not really sure.
What can i do if i need handle animal?Just invest some points?
Thanks for the answers. I apologize for the probably bad question because we are pretty new to it.
English is not my first language pls ignore some mistakes..

Well if you run the game as RAW as possible, even if a creature is trained and got the trick, you still need to make handle animal skill checks for basically everything.
In my experience, me included, we give breaks to players when it comes to handle animal rolls because it would just be annoying to do them constantly. Only time we ever bother is during combat if it ever comes up.

Why is your Kitsune Red?
Reference to the difference between Rouge (French for the color red, or a kind of makeup that is usually red) and Rogue (a rapscallion, or a class in D&D and descendants).

You need to succeed in a DC 10 handle animal check as a move action to get an animal to do tricks that it knows. It's a DC 25 check as a full-round action to get it to do something it doesn't normally know how to do (called a 'push').
Ride is what you need to ride the beast, including in combat. This is to get it to go where you want. It's a DC 5 ride check to control it with your knees which doesn't require an action. You can fight with your mount at a DC 10 ride check that is a free action.
