Did we come to a consensus on artifact eligibility?

I've seen two now, and I'm not sure if I should be reporting them for DQ. I mean, they are weapons/armor/ring/rod/etc.

If artifacts were DQ'd when we were doing Wondrous Items, even though they used an appropriate slot, then I have to think they'd still be DQ'd.

I think they will be appropriately sorted out by the voters and judges without needing to be DQ'd.

I simply downvote all artifacts unless they are absolutely compelling, because making an artifact is simply a cheap dodge to avoid adhering to magic item creation rules.

I have been sending them in to the email listed. Last year I know they were an auto DQ, as I supplied several to SKR and he told me they were removed.

Are artifacts listed separately from armor, weapons, rings, staves, rods in the CRB?

The same answer applied to whether artifacts should be PM'd for DQ consideration - they may just be badly priced and not really artifacts after all...

At least one that I've seen is clearly designated as an artifact.
