Advice on Arcane Deed Magus

Shadow Lodge

I decided to try something new with this magus. I have some questions under the stat block.
Tsorin Daeralnu
Human (Osiriani) Hexcrafter 1
Str 18 Dex 12 Con 14 Int 14 Wis 12 Cha 7
Skillz: 1 in Craft (tattoos), Use Magic Device, Spellcraft, Knowledge (Arcana), and Perception.
Traits: Reactionary, Pragmatic Activator.
Feats: TBD (May include Shield Proficiency, Toughness, Improved Shield Bash, etc.) See below for more information.

So, my main query is what weapon I should use, as it will affect my whole playstyle. It has to be light or one-handed piercing, for Arcane Deed purposes, but I'm not going for any of the light weapons besides backup daggers. Rapier is nice, but doesn't do high damage and can't do 1-1/2 Str. I don't think critical hits are all to important to him. Trident offers some nice utility and balanced base damage. A heavy spiked shield could also go a long way, but I wouldn't be a skirnir.
This will primarily be used in PFS play, tell me if you want to know my spell list. Thoughts?

Tsorin is NOT, nor will he ever be, Dex-Based. Please, please check that at the door.

Silver Crusade

My whip Magus took Arcane Deed at 6 to get Precise Strike, and at 11 took extra arcana and took Evasion to grab Evasion/Uncanny Dodge/Improved Uncanny Dodge. :D

Grand Lodge

Sword Cane is an option, nice little hidden weapon.

Daggers and Rapier are always good to have around.

I know you are not looking at dex based, but Slashing grace makes the weapon piercing for class abilities. (it is the half of the feat no one ever talks about)

Think you have hit on all the main piercing weapons one would realistically look at.

Shadow Lodge

Thanks for the advice so far. I think Slashing Grace is not worth it because I obviously can't get it until level 5 or so, and my third level feat is reserved for Extra Arcana (Arcane Deed: Precise Strike), so level 7. Thus, SG is sadly out for the count. It also wants Weapon Finesse.

I just did some rolling and it seems like a 15% spell failure chance isn't even as bad as one would think, on average. I think that narrows it down to trident and heavy spiked wooden shield at this point. Maybe I'll do an impromptu playtest for level 3. Fortunately, this doesn't really become an issue until then, so I can use generally better slashing and bludgeoning weapons until then.

Shadow Lodge

Eh, I don't feel like waiting to be asked. Here's his spell list:
0-Level: All magus spells.
1-Level: Shocking Grasp, Blade Lash, Grease, Color Spray, Infernal Healing.
Thinking about Snowball, but more pressing are Shield (if not using a shield), Feather Fall, Enlarge Person, and some other utility stuff like Magic Missile. I want to buy some now, but I sprung for chain shirt with my 150 gp and they won't be missed for one scenario. Famous last words....

Silver Crusade

Why the hell do you have a shield, you can't cast unless you have a hand free.

Shadow Lodge

It's only a possibility. It's because, like with other one-handed weapons, you can two-hand it when you want to and cast spells otherwise. Sorry, I should have said OR, I assume. I will not be using a weapon and shield magus. I meant it as a weapon prospect.
