This doesn't sound like a rules question. Flagging.
Rules question was answered quickly. Was asking if their was actually a limit to AC on a PC. Like some sort of "no more than 10+level+something AC on any PC." Seems like something this game would have.
Rest of the thread became advice regarding AC on my character.

Really? Weird. I guess it comes from me having played for years but that idea just seems odd.

Been running with a DM, which is a good person and a "soft" DM. Been trying to figure out if the pre-generated campaign is too easy, if the DM is too easy, or if our PCs aren't following the rules.
An overall AC cap doesn't seem too unrealistic. Could describe a physical limit on how durable something can get before it can't move...
I am curious how that pet AC cap works, that Roan mentioned. I think our ranger's 10th level snake had 30 AC last encounter. A bit of it was a spell, but it's got pretty high stats anyway.

I was referring to Armor Class, not animal companion.
The Soft Cap is what I am referring to. IE. the most efficient way to MAX your Armor Class. A bonus if it does not completely dump every other aspect of your character. (attack, spell possibilities, skills etc)
Rules seems like an appropriate place, but if it is not, sorry.
BTW, the Animal Companion cap is in a discussion regarding the FCB of asimar nature oracle (search fu rolled a nat one on finding it)
