Hi guys! I was reading the Occultist archetype for the Arcanist class and I got a few questions about Conjurer's Focus (Sp) 1st level exploit.
0. I need to have the spell in the spellbook?
1. I need to have prepared the Summon Monster spells in order to cast them with this ability?
2. When I use Conjurer's Focus to cast any Summon Monster spell, effects from feats like "Augment Summonging", "Superior Summoning", etc... still apply to the spell?
I think this ability works like Summoner's Summon monster spell-like ability but I am not sure about...
The fact that I get better summons at level 3, 5, 7 and so on helps to make me believe that I don't need to know or have prepared these spells to cast them.

How I see it is that you do not have to have the spell in your spellbook. as its Spell-like ability. just like many monsters have spell-like abilities that they can use x times/day.
And you still "cast" the spell as you were casting normal summon monster spell. so augment summoning etc. would work with this ability

What Azghal Said. But it is not a exploit. It replaces a exploit. This is important because the archtype cannot take extra exploit until it gets its first at level 3.
And in my opponion it is a very broken Archtype that is getting way more than it gives up.
