Broken Weapon Sunder Attempts?

Scarab Sages

Pretty simple, if my weapon is broken, what is my penalty for combat manuvers (or sunder specifically)?

Can I benefit from weapon qualities if the weapon is broken? Like the Lucerne Hammer's +2 to sunder against medium or heavy armor.

Are (non-BAB) bonuses/penalties to attack added/subtracted with CMB for maneuvers, like sunder?

You take a -2 penalty to the combat maneuver check, per the broken condition. Penalties and bonuses both apply to any combat maneuvers you perform - since you sunder with your weapon, the broken penalty on it applies.

You can still take advantage of qualities while items are broken, so the Lucerne Hammer's +2 would still apply - balancing it out, against those targets.

Awesome, thank you.

Follow up: Improved Critical does nothing on a broken weapon, right?

In what way?

Scarab Sages

Okay, so part of the broken weapon condition is that they can only score a critical on a natural 20. Would improved Critical improve the threat range of a broken weapon? I assume no, but I figured I'd ask anyway.

Correct, the broken condition would override any effects improving your critical range.

Thank you.
