With archetypes and careful selection you can basically do any spellcasting class (well, maybe not magus).
Command Undead seems to a nice class feature, though, if you are looking to collect a large army of mindless dead
gravewalker witch (occult or plague mysteries)
bones oracle
cleric with undeath domain (there is the undead lord archetype, but I think losing a second domain is a pretty poor tradeoff for the bonuses)
necromancer wizard
However, for the mummification/egyptian rituals, the reanimator archetype for alchemist could possibly work with The Dragons suggestion.

Nagash, the original and undisputed King of the Necromancers, was the High Priest of Khemri.
Thusly, cleric is the way to go, especially since in Nagash's case he is armoured with a f+%# off great 6ft sword!!
I would ask your GM if you can use one of the 3PP cleric/priests since they are more caster focussed....

There's going to be a TON of Egyptian themed material for Pathfinder, including necromancer stuff, cities of the dead, lost tombs etc in the
Southlands book from Kobold Press.
If you want lots of cool Egyptian stuff (and Arabian and African stuff as well) for your Pathfinder game, it'll be worth checking out! :)

A lot of the spells in the Book of the Dead deal with curses. Maybe a witch would be the way to go. Or maybe work toward mystic theurge, as the Egyptians didn't differentiate between "arcane" or "divine" magic. If you can lay your hands on the 3.5 Hamunaptra boxed set from Green Ronin you can mine it for some great ideas.
