Build Help?: Kitsune Espionage

Advice

I would like to play a Kitsune ninja, who focuses on disguise and trickery/manipulation/charisma. I have until Saturday to have something set in stone so I'm looking for more knowledgeable experts to help me make my concept a viable character as I have only played pathfinder twice to level 3.

I would like to be somewhat useful in battle, but strengths in charisma, spying, etc. Any thoughts?

I would also like to utilize one or more unique ninja weapons, aside from the stereo-typical katana (although I'm not opposed to it either).

Some possible interests: The weapon that's attatched on both ends to a chain (not sure what it's called) And another oriental weapon similar to a polearm.

Note, would pref to be the ninja class.

Kusarigama. I'd forget about a polearm; the Kusarigama already has reach.

And for subterfuge you may want to take a look at the Realistic Likeness feat.

Was already planning on it. Just looking for help in building an effective build. I have only created one barbarian lvl 3 before and basically followed a guide I saw for it :/

Is the campaign espionage based, or is it just what you want to do?

If it is the campaign, you will want to look into the PrC Master Spy. Whether you want to/will be able to take the class, it is a good template of what you will want in terms of skills/feats.

It requires 7 ranks in Bluff and Disguise and 5 ranks in Perception and Sense Motive.

That tells me you will want those 4 skills to be maxed.

Feats: Deceitful and Iron Will.

Deceitful boosts bluff and disguise, Iron Will boosts your will save. Will saves will help you lie vs magic that will force the truth.

Next skills should be Sleight of hand (to hide your weapons) UMD (to fake being a caster) and Linguistics (to understand everything you might over hear and be able to fake that you are whatever race/nationality you are pretending to be). Additional KN skills to reinforce your background while in disguise. A Farmer who does not know how to farm is obviously not a farmer, same with a Court member who is not familiar with the royal family and other local nobles.

Other feats to look at would be Stealthy, boosting your stealth and sleight of hand. Kitsune Tails will also often be helpful (suggestion, disguise self, Invisibility) especially if you pick up some of the star stones for your SLA, to get additional uses per day.

The DM is going to have some espionage built in but is trying to make it well rounded.
