So would a lvl 1 ninja/lvl 1 snakebite striker brawler sneak for 2d6?
When you look at a sneak attacking archetype like vivisectionist you get the description...
At 1st level, a vivisectionist gains the sneak attack ability as a rogue of the same level. If a character already has sneak attack from another class, the levels from the classes that grant sneak attack stack to determine the effective rogue level for the sneak attack's extra damage dice (so an alchemist 1/rogue 1 has a +1d6 sneak attack like a 2nd-level rogue, an alchemist 2/rogue 1 has a +2d6 sneak attack like a 3rd-level rogue, and so on). This ability replaces bomb.
But this is because the vivisectionist has a steady sneak attack progression like the rogue.
The sneak attack description under snakebite striker says...
At 1st level, the snakebite striker can make a sneak attack. This is as the rogue ability of the same name. At 1st level, her sneak attack damage is +1d6. This increases by 1d6 at 6th, 10th, 12th, and 20th levels. If she gets a sneak attack bonus from another source, the bonuses on damage stack. This ability replaces martial flexibility.
Since it is not a steady progression, it doesn't say the levels stack, but that the damage stacks. Am I interpreting this correctly? The second level character would sneak attack for 2d6.

Vivisectionist has the sneak attack damage of a rogue of the same level. Full Stop. The additional text is for stacking with Rogue/Ninja, or any other class that grants rogue sneak attack damage.
Snakebite Striker does not grant effective rogue levels. It simply grants SA damage that stacks with any other SA damage.

At best it would give a rogue (or other class with sneak attack) one extra die. It's not a big deal in the long run.
For continuity's sake it should probably work like the vivisectionist's ability, but as written you would get 2d6 sneak attack and then have to take 2 more levels in either class to advance your sneak attack further.
Either way you're going to be losing out on some stuff to get 1 extra d6 of damage.
