Kero, thanks very much. I will get these in the system when I do the towers data layer update.

Version 0.f of the Unofficial PFO Atlas is live.
Added a War of Towers data layer with placeholder data. Next major functionality update will add SQL database access to data with webpage input screens for more timely data update.
Next up for data layers - settlement buildings!

@Harad

I believe you were also looking for info on resources. I took a tour through the swamps and found mainly trash site which harvested at tier 1 were often Iron and brimstone, sometimes double of one, also smooth pelt and occasionally lamp oil. There was the typical density dowser sites producing esoteric essence. Only very few plant sites and those had pelts or log and tansy, never sleep sap, dreamglow mushroom, bloodflow gum. I saw none of the Greenweed rumored to be in the swamps (for which I had come here to search). I am harvesting at tier 1. Many sites are underwater. Will swim move from skill not offered to a required skill. How will water be treated in EE? DIfficult terrain?

shrines:
9.41 S 1.15W
8.97 S 0.69 W (with a pack wolf about 10 meters away)
8.81 S 0.92 W
9.07 S 1.78 W

tower:
9.00 S 0.59 W
8.71 S 1.13 W
9.04 S 1..68 W

Thod is doing some resource node analysis for the Emerald Spire area.

There should be a new data layer for the Atlas by Monday showing named geographic regions. These regions have the same basic resource list in common.

Not sure yet how terrain types will affect movement.

There is no green in the swamp. I still haven't investigated a hex with green in detail - but this is because I concentrated near EL and went as far as the swamp. But I start to spot check further away.

There is a good quantity of yellow in three hexes - no yellow in the southern swamp. When I say good quantity, then I mean > 0.5 yellow on aveerage per plant node. Biggest issue - <25% of nodes are plants.

According to my calculations the whole swamp will manage to regrow around 500 yellow per day - assuming optional farming of resources. Real numbers will be A LOT lower as as single farming of that amount in as single hex will kill it for a long time.

Looking forward to the information from Harad to confirm or disproof that the hexes in one area all show the same pattern. Three of the four swamp hexes do. The fourth is distinct.

It was my impression as well that hexes of the same terrain type near each other often show the same pattern. E.g. as far as I can tell, the entire Brighthaven mountain range has a very similar distribution at least in their rock and plant nodes, I haven't checked the essence nodes. But monster/monster home hexes are often somewhat different, so I'd probably consider them to be a different hex type, even if the terrain is similar.

Shrines:
3.05N 5.85W
3.92N 5.67W
3.77N 5.20W
3.60N 4.15W
2.57N 5.81W
3.12N 6.13W

I also "checked out" several others, but had to bug them, as after repeated resurrections, there were no shrines visible.

@Harad,

Just to check spelling: I see "Western Echo Wood" in the north, "Central Echo Wood" in the left, and "Southern Echowood" in the south regions of the map; is this correct?

Goblin Squad Member

@Harad,

Your previous map had a key for terrain symbols. Can you please include one in your new map (that is easy for people with poor eyesight to understand)?

Thanks.

Goblin Squad Member

@Giorgo, there is a Northern Echo Wood that is off the EE map. This atlas has the game mini-map as it's underlying layer information. Terrain key symbols will be coming later after I finish the building layer.

New Version (1.0c) of the Unofficial PFO Atlas is live showing the buildings for Cleric/Fighter and Rogue/Wizard PC Settlements.

Goblin Squad Member

Am I correct in assuming:

2 different plant types are just yellow
1 plant type substitutes for either yellow or green
1 salvage type is green.

Clickable version of tinyurl from above

Version 1.0d of the Unofficial PFO Atlas is now live. All remaining PC Settlement buildings are now in, as well as Thorhkeep (with bridges).

Goblin Squad Member

Harad,

There will be changes to some map hexes, as Ryan mentioned here.

Goblin Squad Member

I know. I have to email Mike Hines about the new art work when it is released to get a copy.

Goblin Squad Member

Version 1.0e of the Unofficial PFO Atlas is now live.

New in this version: A new background map with clearer details from Mike Hines, and have set a min/max zoom to keep the previous strange behavior at small zooms.

Awesome and very useful.

One question. Did the shrine distribution change with the War of Towers ? It seems a lot harder to suicide up a terrain level these days:D

Goblin Squad Member

@Neadenil, I don't know. I haven't updated the shrine locations in a while. I probably need to do a tour and check them out. I am starting to work on an SQL backend where you can log in and record your own pins (with the ability to add your own notes). I hope to have an option where you can make public pins, like for shrines.

Goblin Squad Member

@Harad,

Your map has Forgeholm listed as Rogue/Wizard, it is actually Cleric/Fighter.

Some other settlements seem off, might want to double check. :)

Goblin Squad Member

Corrected. I'll check the rest by Sunday. Thanks for the catch (he says from the forest).

Goblin Squad Member

Love the public pins idea. I've been wanting to start recording resources by hex on a public map (sorry folks, information wants to be free ;)

Thank you.

Could please also update the link to Forgeholm as the land rush link is incorrect?

(We are trying to get it updated, no luck so far)

@Giorgo, done.

Giving this a bump

New Unofficial PFO Atlas Version 1.0g
A new Image Tab has been added for the new settlement maps showing Tavern locations (thanks to Mike Hines), and the Full Map Geographic Regions map from Lee Hammock (2014/12/18). Region locations should be correct, but everything else on the image is subject to change.

Sovereign Court Goblin Squad Member

Out of curiosity are those regions 'official' in any sense? You last post seems to imply it's the devs who name the regions, but I haven't heard anything along those lines before.

Goblin Squad Member

The devs (Lee) did name the regions (except where he forgot to label the Image). I have added an additional, slightly more descriptive name to the Atlas tab in the hopes the regions will be easier to remember. As far as I have been given, the image is the one he provided to identify regions. I am having some difficulty with labels staying viable, so where the features actually are when zoomed is unclear.

Goblin Squad Member

Harad, the WoT overlay needs an update with all A-ring towers removed.

Goblin Squad Member

Since they rolled back to 3.0, it still is good. I know I need to make that change.

Goblin Squad Member

@Harad Navar

The map is sweet, but could you add a marker for the dead settlements.

Another thing that could be added and it would be very nice would be making a circlular gradiant (centered on settlement, 6-hex radius) covering a type of training as optional layers.

With the training they seek as the colored optional layer, so folks can see quickly the nearest settlement wit the training they seek.

Red = Rogue
Yellow = Cleric
Blue = Wizard
Green = Fighter

Liberty's Edge Goblin Squad Member

@Harad Navar

The Settlement Overlay has Forgeholm as Rogue/Wizard, but the GW maps have them as Cleric/Fighter.

Goblin Squad Member

Thanks @Penguin_Witchdocor, I will make that correction. Good catch.

The Unofficial Pathfinder Online Atlas has been updated.

New in Release 1.0h (2015/03/05)

  • New Hex Size - Mike Hines has provided accurate dimensions for the shape of hexes. The hexes are not geometrically symmetric. As a result all data layers have been revised to reflect the corrected geographic location.
  • OE Geographic Regions - Replaced EE Geographic Regions with OE Geographic Regions (per Lee Hammock 2014/12/18 image). Note that hex types and terrain types in areas outside of EE are subject to change.
  • Color Coded Hexes - The EE hex layer now has color coded for hex type: dark blue for PC Settlements, light blue for NPC Settlements, aqua for Badlands, red for Monster Home, green for Escalation.
  • War of Towers - The towers surrounding PC Settlements have been removed. Because of the new hex dimensions, the remaining towers were repositioned by hand. Any positional correction information is welcome.
  • Settlement Buildings have been temporarily removed to an extensive rebuild. I did not want to hold up this release for that work.
  • Shrines have been temporarily removed for more work.
  • Thornkeep settlement map added to Images.

Goblin Squad Member

Nice.

Goblin Squad Member

Wow, loaded with info. Thanks a lot, Harad.

Goblin Squad Member

Harrad, the meteor hex near Sunholm (and several others at the south end of the map) is reported as "Meteor Escalation" but most further north are not, often simply reported as "Highlands Badlands" or "Highlands Escalation" or such.

Would you consdier labelling those as "Broken Lands" to conform with the Dev usage?
