Options for Archer against DR / slashing

Advice

Any ideas? I'm a Zen Archer, so while my fist do have decent damage I can't flurry with my fist.

Even if I can't get some good damage, are there alchemical items for battle field control I could be using? I don't own the Alchemical Item book (whatever it is called) yet. Trying to decide if its worth buying.

I am pretty certain in ultimate equipment they have a whole list of arrows that do different damage types...it should be on the prd

Sovereign Court

Just take clustered shot and DR becomes far less of an issue considering you get a gross # of shots each turn.

Try the Clustered Shots feat. DR doesn't hurt as much that way.

Elves of Golaron has slow burning arrows that do 1d6 fire damage on the round after impact...so combine that with clustered shots and the next turn is deadly

It seems you've accepted that perhaps you shouldn't always be doing massive damage. Alchemical items is a great way of continuing to contribute. The lowly Tanglefoot Bag can take a Large flying creature out of the sky, Thunderstones hinder casters and organization, and Alchemist Fire burns golems even. And that's just the core.

You can also take actions to protect your allies who are more effective - block/trip enemies, aid to AC, etc.

Good luck and Enjoy!

Thanks Everyone for the Responses.

@ Oakbreaker - There is nothing that I found to bypass DR/slashing but the Slow burning arrows is nice, that is the kind of stuff i was looking for.

@ Charon's Little Helper & avr - I will pick up Cluster shots at level 9 when I can. But im only level 5 right now and I need something to get me through next 3 levels.

@ Majuba - All great tips, This is stuff I was looking for. DR/slashing kind of ruins my day.

Does anyone have the Alchemical Book that came out? Is it worth picking up?

Weapon Versatility is your answer.

Scarab Sages

Alchemy Manual is well worth it for an archer, alchemist, or caster.

Wow thats awesome. I think if I tried to use that with a bow my GM would have me struck by a bolt of lighting.

Shadow Lodge

I'd allow it. Just say you're shifting your aim to graze with the edge.
