Hero lab and adopted social trait

Rules Questions

Silver Crusade

A friend of mine is playing a human with the adopted trait using the aasimar Enlightened Warrior trait. Hero Lab tags it as not being a legal option for this character. Is Hero Lab wrong? If Hero Lab is correct, why isn't Enlightened Warrior a valid adopted trait?

Should be fine; make sure you set the adopted race as Aasimar in Hero Lab. Though, really, you should probably be asking this question on their forums since it may be a bug in their software or an issue with some setting in the tool.

Aasimar society's are not known to exist...I would contend that the Adopted trait wouldn't do anything if you had Aasimar parents as you wont be growing up in an Aasimar society (as no such thing exists).

That's just my take on it.

However, never just accept Hero Lab's word on something if you don't understand it. Hero Lab is a great tool, but far from perfect.

There is an Aasimar society in Tian-Xia.

the race trait Enlightened Warrior is from the Pathfinder Player's Companion: Blood of Angel under the Variant Aasimar idyllkin. It is legal, even though Hero Labs doesn't recognize it.

They probably mixed it up with the handling of the Racial Heritage feat, for which Aasimar would not be a valid choice because it is not a humanoid sub-type. In any case, there is no question that Hero Lab got this one wrong and thus they need to be informed of this error.
