Half Celestial Template
Is this too much for an ECL 5 character with class levels (4 Class levels 1 Template level)
How do you all treat Half-Celestial?
Would it be better if I dropped the SLA section from the Template?

It really depends on how off the rails the campaign is.
If the campaign is something of an anything goes type of campaign, where young dragons with class levels are allowed, then such a being fits in.
If it is a game with standard builds (races with 16 or fewer racial points, 15-25 point buy stats, etc.) it may be way more than what other players could bring to the table. Templates are best used for NPCs in such a campaign.
More or less ^this, yeah.
It heavily relies on group dynamic.
