Synthesist replacing my eidolon ability / closing a door with no hands is possible?

Rules Questions

The Synthesist archetype replaces my normal eidolon ability, does this means that I don't gain darkvision or evasion?

My Dm says that I only gain the listed abilities shown in the synthesist aka examples: Fused Link (Su) which replaceslife link.
Shielded Meld (Ex) which replaces shield ally, Maker’s Jump (Sp) which replaces maker’s call and transposition, Greater Shielded Meld (Ex) which replaces greater shield ally and Split Forms (Su) which replaces merge forms.

Since it dosen't say anything about evasion or dark vision he says that I lose these abilities which I find it wrong because the archetype itself dosen't tell me that I lost these abilities.

Any experts around here that could help me?

In other topic, is it posible for me to ''CLOSE'' a door without having the hand limbs evolution? Could I use my mouth to hold the handle and close the door since I have a bite attack ? Opening a door would be more acceptable to require hands but closing a door dosen't take any efforts at all, what do you think guys?

All archetypes I've read only list things that gets changed, added, or removed to the base class. Anything not mentioned is left as it original was. I think your interpetation is correct.

on the subject of closing doors ... I have noe idea, but it does paint a hilarious image in my head.
I think without hands it's going to be up to the GM to judge it on a case-for-case-basis.
I'm thinking maybe a dex-check of some sort. - and probably silly consequenses. Like your guy might get the name "Doorknob-Eater" if he fails too much :)

Yeah thats what I told him, if its not listed it means that its left has original.

True its up to the GM, the problem that I got is that this GM always takes the worst choice for the player, he dosen't consider it at all and takes the worst possible thing for the player. so if its not possible by RAW Im screwed.

In other hand I just tried to close the door of my room with my mouth and I was able to do it easly and I don't have a big mouth, I wonder why can't I close a door with the mouth of a character that has a bite attack lmao.

Thanks for the answer luxurian

Paizo.com/PRD Synthesist (Emphasis Mine) wrote:

Fused Eidolon: A synthesist summons the essence of a powerful outsider to meld with his own being. The synthesist wears the eidolon like translucent, living armor. The eidolon mimics all of the synthesist's movements, and the synthesist perceives through the eidolon's senses and speaks through its voice, as the two are now one creature. The synthesist directs all of the eidolon's actions while fused, perceives through its senses, and speaks through its voice, as the two are now one creature.

While fused with his eidolon, the synthesist uses the eidolon's Strength, Dexterity, and Constitution, but retains his own Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma. The synthesist gains the eidolon's hit points as temporary hit points. When these hit points reach 0, the eidolon is killed and sent back to its home plane. The synthesist uses the eidolon's base attack bonus, and gains the eidolon's armor and natural armor bonuses and modifiers to ability scores. The synthesist also gains access to the eidolon's special abilities and the eidolon's evolutions. The synthesist is still limited to the eidolon's maximum number of natural attacks. The eidolon has no skills or feats of its own. The eidolon must be at least the same size as the synthesist. The eidolon must have limbs for the synthesist to cast spells with somatic components. The eidolon's temporary hit points can be restored with the rejuvenate eidolon spell.

While fused, the synthesist loses the benefits of his armor. He counts both as his original type and as an outsider for any effect related to type, whichever is worse for the synthesist. Spells such as banishment or dismissal work normally on the eidolon, but the synthesist is unaffected. Neither the synthesist nor his eidolon can be targeted separately, as they are fused into one creature. The synthesist and eidolon cannot take separate actions. While fused with his eidolon, the synthesist can use all of his own abilities and gear, except for his armor. In all other cases, this ability functions as the summoner's normal eidolon ability (for example, the synthesist cannot use his summon monster ability while the eidolon is present). This ability replaces the class's eidolon ability, bond senses, and life bond.

Point by point:

1. The Synthesist gains all of the eidolon's abilities and evolutions. This refers to the far right hand column on the eidolon. and includes Multiattack (Despite the eidolon having no feats, it has an ability that grants a feat and so the Synthesist receives that ability as well). So yes, you get evasion, and later you get improved evasion.

2. In All other cases... So the easiest thing to do, is build your Eidolon and summoner as if they were normal ones (this will help with the 16th level abilitiy anyway) and then use that information to combine them as modified by the Fused Eidolon Ability.

3. The class' ability gets replaced, not the Eidolon's Abilities.

I hope that clears it up for you and your GM.

thank you very much, my GM keeps telling me that I lost evasion and dark vision since it does not appears in the synthesist archetype abilities

On the subject of doors. Pushing does not require hands. Opening, maybe a dexterity check. If dogs and cats can open doors, I don't see why you cannot.
