Is it worthwhile to invest in the Leadership feat and/or the Loyalty power of the Marshal mythic path? Is there a way for your cohort to gain Mythic ranks?
My concern is that nothing changes the 'Cohort at your level -2' thing. Even with Loyalty allowing stacking your mythic tier, that is likely only to net more followers, rather than a stronger cohort.
A (for instance) level 8 cohort, hanging around with 4 level 10 characters is doing okay. But when those level 10 characters have 5 mythic ranks and can fight a CR 15 monster causually, that cohort is looking a little less like an asset and a little more like a liability. (Getting even more attacks with Marshal's order is nice and all, but only if those attacks can expect to actually matter.)

As Tangent pointed out, you really don't need the extra help, and adding an extra body slows down the game.
Cohort at level + rank -2 gets you a 17th level cohort midway through book 4 and a 22nd level cohort midway through book 5. They'll probably come close to keeping up with your power, but your GM may not want you throwing around 9th level spells at a point when the AP's expecting 7th level ones.

Let me explain where I am coming from.
I am running a Runelords game. Two players chose to have Cohorts. It slowed the game down significantly for two reasons - first, there were two additional characters to keep track of, and second I was increasing the number of enemies to compensate for five PCs and two Cohorts.
They also have 1 Mythic Tier; one had the Marshal line, with Loyalty, and would use her ability to have the hardest-hitting player strike again, and also her Ninja cohort at the same time.
Several times I nearly killed the cohorts (a paladin and a ninja). Finally I realized all the extras were slowing things down massively and made a deal with the players - they would get a free Feat to replace Leadership, and their Cohorts would no longer participate in combat, only in roleplay - however, the Cohorts would be protecting the rear of the PCs and preventing them from being flanked from behind.
So I'm not saying "no cohorts" because I'm a terrible and cruel GM. I'm saying this because I saw how the cohorts disrupted my game. Do not discount action economy. Also do not discount the fact the cohorts WILL be squishy compared to you - especially as you're Mythic and they are not.
There is only one reason I'd allow Cohorts in a future game - if there were only two players. (If there were three I'd offer to run a GMPC and fill a void that was needed - like a cleric/healer or a rogue.)

And it's a shame, too; considering the setting of this AP is one of the most epic and justifies having armies at your command. I mean, why wouldn't a divinely-empowered mythic hero be leading legions of crusaders against demons?
Because he can kill them alone. Armies of common people slow him down.
