A lot of people have commented on this. As it really stands the only sword that really benefts is the Aldori Dueling Sword (and, I think, whips) but there is something you can do with a Swashbuckler to increase the range of weapons available, and Fencing Grace for Rapiers is coming soon.
This is correct but the easiest way around this is to take a 1 level dip into Swashbuckler for Swashbuckler Finesse which allows them to use Weapon Finesse with one handed piercing weapons and it counts as Weapon Finesse so that frees up a feat slot.
This is correct but the easiest way around this is to take a 1 level dip into Swashbuckler for Swashbuckler Finesse which allows them to use Weapon Finesse with one handed piercing weapons and it counts as Weapon Finesse so that frees up a feat slot.The whole feat description seems to contradict itself though...you need weapon finesse for a the weapon for which you will be using slashing grace ..and then they go on to give an example of longsword....you cant use weapon finesse for a longsword...its not a light weapon ....
Swashbucklers specifically can use it in that way. They have a wider range of finessable weapons that comes from their ability, Swashbucklers finesse, which is what Dread Night is talking about. The feat is mostly intended for Swashbucklers.
For other classes weapon finesse is basically a feat tax to get dex to damage but they can't finesse the weapon. Also i think you're misunderstanding how weapon finesse works. You only take the feat once, and it works for every finessable weapon, it's not like weapon focus our weapon specialization.

Yeah, as it stands, this is essentially a Swashbuckler feat. It just doesn't list Swashbuckler in the prereqs.
(Which is a good thing. If they add more classes/archetypes/options in the future that let you use Weapon Finesse with one-handed weapons, those character will be able to use Slashing Grace)
