Scarecrow (the batman antagonist) themed alchemist

Advice

I'm thinking of having them have a lot of poison/acid/hallucinogen/intimidation stuff, but I want them to be at least moderately effective. any suggestions as to what I should do?

Thinking of having them wear a filter hood at all times, or at least in combat. "Dehumanizing" them and making them look more intimidating, possibly.

You'll probably want to have one of those Intimidation-boosting traits, and possibly be a half-orc for the +2 bonus to Intimidate (the +2 Int helps with your extracts, so it's pretty good anyway).

Bruising Intellect would actually be an excellent trait for you. You can dump charisma and still scare the bejeezus out of people.

Confusion Bomb should do the trick. There's also Psychoactive and Madness Bombs which fit thematically, but they seem pretty tame.

I wonder if there'd be some way to get the psychoactive effects in gas form, and fill a room with it. (like at a party or something) and then make a grand entrance, proceed to scare the crap out of people.

Well, you could craft some actual poisons. There's Insanity Mist, which is very expensive (1.5k a dose, 500gp if you craft it) and Nightmare Vapor (1.8k a dose, 600gp crafted). A single dose covers 10 cubic feet. Very expensive party favors.
