Need help with a name

Advice

Silver Crusade

So for my character names, I usually put some relevant words into google translate. Well, my latest creation is a dwarven storm druid. I was trying to do my usual translating magic, but dwarves scream Scottish to me, and google translate doesn't have any options for things like Gaelic or anything else that sounds Scottish.

So I come to you. Help me come up with a name for a dwarven storm druid.

draoidh dealanach

Why are dwarves Scottish?

I never understood this.

They should be Norse.

Silver Crusade

I always equated their accents with a Scotsman. And in Pathfinder, Ulfen humans are Norsemen.

Ok, so I used an online dwarf name generator. I think I like the first name Craigh, now I just need a last name. He is a storm druid, and has Profession (herbalist), so I'd like something to go along with one of those two character details.

Last names for dwarves usually are easy. If I learned anything from NWN2, it's that you can just hammer together two words that sound vaguely combat related, and it works for a clan name. (Same goes for orc tribes, goblins, etc.)

Kinda hard with a storm druid, methinks, on account of most dwarven tropes are related to stuff of stone or metal.

Why did he fall? That would help with the thematic naming.

I would go with something vaguely elvish sounding. A lot of the archangels have names that sound like that: Uriel, Gabriel, Raphael, Sealtiel, Jegudiel, Barachiel.

What was your guy an angel of?

Here is a website with a list of fallen angel names.

he thought that evil needed to be faught with actions, and the greater good is more important than a single soul - destroying a village to stop a gate to hell that was about to bring a arch demon to golorian.

he was found unjust - and than he cursed the god almighty - and was trown from heaven.

Eric Withakay

Birthnames: Korgard, Durgard, Bogro, or Gridwall

In Pathfinder, they're more or less Norse. In older systems, they're equated to Scotsmen.

Although, only the dwarves of the north would have Nordic accents. I would suspect the Ouat dwarves of Osirion to have much different accents.

If I may make a suggestion, he wasn't an angel because there are no angels in Golarion. Instead he was a minor empyreal lord and the village he wiped out contained every single person on Golarion who worshipped him and the only known temple dedicated to him.

Since there is no longer anybody to believe in him, he is no longer a god and is now just a former denizen of one of the good-aligned outer planes.

Now he is on a mission to redeem himself for his poor judgement. If this is for a home game it plants an awesome plot hook for the GM to reveal that there is some far-flung former resident of that village who moved away but kept his beliefs and ended up spreading them to his new home.

The character's name is Breithiunas Bocht, which is Gaelic for poor judgement.
