ACG feral hunter - can the still summon nature ally for one minute?

The archetype note:

"Solitary: Unlike most hunters, a feral hunter does not
gain an animal companion."

The way it is worded it doesnt say they dont get the animal companion feature. So can they still summon natures allies as 1min/lvl duration? If yes, does "Summon Pack (Sp)" apply to creature summoned that way? (ie can the have 2 summons that last 1 minute?)

I'd say no. Even if you have the feature you don't have a dead animal companion. And it's the Hunter's animal companion, so I don't think an animal companion from a different class would count either for this.

Surely the animal companion is the feature. If you don't gain an animal companion you don't have an animal companion feature.

Feral Hunter does not gain the appropriate features for the extended nature's ally spells, so you're stuck with rounds/level on this one.
