Jabbing Style?

Rules Questions

So, I'm a bit tired and reading over the ACG, when I came across Jabbing Style. Am I reading this right? It's both.

1> Available at 1st level to a Monk/Brawler
2> A Scaling damage bonus (based on how many hits you score in a round) applied to you're last attack, with no annoying attack penalties?

If I'm reading it right... wow. I know monks will never be the kings of combat, but that's a step in the right direction.

Until at least level 8 (plus a feat) the bonus is either 1d6 (two hits) or 2d6 (three+ hits). It's nice, but it's not exactly a huge bonus, and prevents non-Master of Many Style monks from using other styles, like Tiger Style or Dragon Style.

Yeah, I honestly think I would take this over Tiger Style. It just seems to Scale better, which is somewhat rare on monk feats.

Grand Lodge

Except that it doesn't scale well at all. It's 1d6 or 2d6 extra per round until you take the final feat in the chain, which does nothing for you except boosting the damage to 2d6 or 4d6 per round.

Tiger Style doesn't do as well on damage, but Tiger Pounce allows you a whole lot more mobility AND it makes Power Attack stronger.

Edit: Just to clarify, in case you were reading it some other way, here's the breakdown of damage per round that Jabbing Style gives based on number of hits on the same target:
1 hit: 0d6
2 hits: 1d6
3 hits: 2d6
4 hits: 2d6
5 hits: 2d6
6 hits: 2d6
7 hits: 2d6
etc, etc.

Gah, you're right, I was reading it wrong (Again, should be heading to sleep lol). I was reading it as 1d6 extra per hit past the first, not stopping at 2d6. Was sitting here thinking 5 hits would score you're last attack an extra 4d6 damage. Bet I'm not the only one who does that lol!

Grand Lodge

The main problem I have with Jabbing Style is actually that the capstone is really, really boring. And I mean it's Weapon Focus levels of boring, but stuck behind five feats and a minimum of 8 levels. They could've done something cool building off of Jabbing Dancer, but no, they just throw a piddling amount of extra dice at you.

Well, there is always Pummeling Style/Charge lol.

Jabbing Style (Combat, Style)
Prerequisite(s): Improved Unarmed Strike; base attack bonus +6, brawler's flurry class feature, or flurry of blows class feature.

Way it is written, you qualify
1st level Monk/Brawler
or BA +6 & Improved Unarmed

Jabbing Dancer (Combat)
Prerequisite(s): Dodge, Improved Unarmed Strike, Jabbing Style, Mobility; base attack bonus +9, brawler level 5th, or monk level 5th.

Way it is written, you qualify
5th level Monk/Brawler plus Dodge & Mobilty & Jabbing Style
or BA +9 & Improved Unarmed plus Dodge & Mobilty & Jabbing Style

Otherwise why add 'brawler level 5th, or monk level 5th.'
BA +9 means brawler 9 / Monk 12
