Home from the Hospital

Off-Topic Discussions

Just got home from a three night stay in the local hospital. I was having chest pains on Sunday and went to the ER where they decided I should stay for some tests, all of which could've been done in one day. But, all the tests came back negative except to confirm that I do, indeed, have a heart.

What did I miss?

Glad to hear you're okay at least. Hope they/you figure out the issue soonish though.

Yikes! Glad you're okay.

As a person who suffers from frequent heartburn, but who has also suffered a pulmonary embolism (blood clots that block the arteries in the lungs), I know how frustrating the medical run-around can be.

Hopefully this was a one-time thing, but if you still have symptoms in the future, and you don't think it's just heartburn, another possible cause to consider is panic attacks (yup, I've got those too), which can present as a feeling like your heart is racing combined with pressure in your chest.

Best wishes. Sometimes better safe than sorry.

Glad to have you home safe, friend.

Whew, good to know it all went alright (and that the heart thing is where its supposed to be).

Heartening news!

Really, though. Good to hear :)

So do I. I had one on Saturday that was very intense, and I actually think Sunday's was just a carry over from that. But my chest was hurting more and more and my breathing was becoming more difficult by the minute so I figured it was better to be safe than sorry.

Glad you are OK and safely back home.

Glad to have you back. And it's better to be safe than sorry, even if it ends up just an exercise in patience with the medical bureaucracy.

At least they had cable and it was Shark Week on Discovery...lol.

Glad you're ok! It's always better to be safe.
