Ways to gain 1 xp above level 11?

Hello, all, currently I have a level 13 (RotR AP chronicles) character that I applied both Siege of the Diamond City and Race for the Runecarved Key Chronicle sheets to, with the idea that this years gencon special would also be a 1-11+. So you can imagine my sadness when this was not the case.

I was wondering if there is any other way to push my self that one extra xp to the next level, or if I just have to hope for next year.

Siege of the Diamond City and Race for the Runecarved Key are the only scenarios (other that EoTT) that are playable above 11.

Your other options include modules:
Academy of Secrets and Tomb of the Iron Medusa

as well as the following AP legs are available at lvl 13:

Shattered Star 4
Reign of Winter 4
Jade Regent 5
Skull and Shackles 5
Carrion Crown 5
Rise of the Runelords 4
Shattered Star 5
Reign of Winter 5
Skull and Shackles 6
Carrion Crown 6

---
I would not count on next year's special being above level 11 either.

Yeh, the problem with modules is that they all provide 3xp, so I will always be one short.

Oh well

Only if you complete them.

You can get partial XP from a module if you do not complete it, but I would advise not doing that on purpose because you still cannot play it again without burning a GM replay.

Agreed. Just presenting a possible silver lining should you TPK a few encounters into a module.

Could you get there going on the slow advancement track for a short bit?

If I recall correctly, you can only switch between slow and fast at the exact starting point for a level, so if you play a multi-xp adventure and overshoot the level break, you are locked in to the same advancement mode for the next level. Not sure if that would be a problem for the OP.

Even if he spent the replay he'd have to use a different character.

There are a lot of people stuck in the same boat as you (myself included) in this statement.. I honestly don't know when Paizo will ever address this (if they do at all).

What aggravates me the most is that Paizo only decided to stop including a 12+ tier after it's 5th season.. because there wasn't enough reporting of characters reaching those levels. My question is why didn't the cutoff happen in an earlier season?

For the first few seasons, the retirement arc was it. They actually added in module and AP santioning fairly recently (last two years, I believe).

Then I just happened to join at a bad point during the span of PFS it sounds like..

AP sanctioning is great and all, but I'm more concerned as to why they decided only AFTER season 5 to stop writing tier +12 content (for society play in things like season specials). This conversation is geared a little more towards being stuck at 13.2 EXP because people who could earn one more EXP already played the only two scenario's that could help them reach the next level. More AP's are cool and all, but that's not my concern.

I'm not sure why this is a problem for you. Beyond level 11 the only PFS legal play is through modules and AP sections, all of which grant 3xp. Every time you play, you will level up, whether you are at exactly level 11 or one xp from level 12.

I personally find it annoying, granted this is not a huge issue. It just seems to be a bit of a short-sight on Paizo's end. It would be nice to see a few scenario's for characters beyond level 12.. just saying.

Yes, characters can continue to level via AP's, it just doesn't have the same feel as scenario's played prior to reaching that point. Congratulations, you're a Seeker now. Might as well retire anyways.

I don't mind playing in Adventure Path's though.

But if Paizo is going to allow characters to go beyond 12th level in society play.. could they at least write a little more content to go along with it?

It is entirely possible to hit Level 20. Do the following after Eyes of the Ten:

Academy of Secrets
Tomb of the Iron Medusa
The Moonscar
(AP Book 6)
The Witchwar Legacy
(AP Book 6)
Race for the Runecarved Key

Please do not misunderstand my complaints. This is not about about reaching level 20, I assure you. I'm not trying to go out of my way to reach level 20. Part of me just wants to be at an even level and not be left with this .2 exp

Then do Siege of the Diamond City or Race for the Runecarved Key.
