Flame Strike clarification

Rules Questions

Does the divine half of a Flame Strike spell still do damage against creatures with Fire Immunity? The text says that it burns through resistances, but I'm not 100% sure if that includes flat out immunities too.

Yes, it's essentially half fire, half searing light.

Yes.

That 1/2 the damage is noted to not be fire.
Fire (anything) won't alter it.

Think of it as damage type (Divine).

Nothing short of making the save for 1/2 (or less with class features) or magic immunity (SR, etc) or specific counter measures (Spell Immunity line, etc) is altering it.

I was so confused by the question that I read the spell again. The confusion came from my certainty that half the damage is defined as divine damage and therefore not subject to fire resistance/immunity.
Reading the spell again I have to say that I get why you are confused. But I can assure that the spell is at least meant to work like my assumption.
