Help my friend build Churros - la Serpiente

Advice

My friend and I had some churros - those nasty, sweet deep fried thingies. He rather liked the sound of the name, and imagined that it fit the name of a big, strong dusty, nasty hispanic type coming out on the desert on a horse and prepared to be rude, drunk, sweaty, and hit on Antonio Banderas' girlfriend. Think Danny Trejo, Robert Rodriguez, Tarantino, From Dusk Till Dawn, Desperado, etc.

Now he wants to play a type like that in my new campaign. Any suggestions as to how to build this? I was thinking a multiclass mongrel, with perhaps fighter, rogue, ranger and inquisitor.
Or perhaps a strong power-attattacking rogue?

But let my hear your suggestions :-)

I think you could do that with a straight fighter. Though when you say on a horse...

Scarab Sages

Order of the Cockatrice Dune Drifter cavalier seems thematic.

However, the action anti-hero in these films is usually unarmored, so a Martial Artist Monk works really well. Especially if you reskin a butterfly sword into a Machete.

Yeah, straight fighter is certainly possible. There are many ways to do this, actually, so I am looking for the most fun :-)

Gunslinger?

Since your friend is excited by the image, he might consider Dazzling Display and Shatter Defenses. Make him a Gunslinger/Rogue. When you use Shatter Defenses, opponents within 30' will be Shaken and Flatfooted, and Firearms at short range make Touch attacks. So he will be making Ranged, Flatfooted, Touch Attacks with Precision Damage.

Just a thought.

Paladin.
