dragon disciple

Silver Crusade

I was just wondering if it is possible to take the Linnorm bloodline when going dragon disciple? I mean the claws are cool and all but I'd rather have the acid spit. Let me know if anyone knows the answer to this?

No... linnorms are related but they are not the dragons addressed by the dragon bloodline. Only the classic ten are allowed.

So even though the Linnorm bloodline says "associated bloodline: draconic" it doesn't work? Cause its not a full bloodline. Its an archetype of draconic

In so far as i'm aware it should be fine.

Linnorm
Your draconic heritage stems from a mighty, primordial linnorm rather than from the more common, somewhat civilized dragons.

Associated Bloodline: Draconic.

still says draconic hertiage. so you still have blood of the dragons in you.

Also under the wyldblooded archetype

" When creating a wildblooded sorcerer, select an existing bloodline, then select one of the following mutated bloodlines associated with that bloodline. Use the normal bloodline's class skill, bonus spells, and bonus feats, and the mutated bloodline's bloodline arcana. Use the normal bloodline's bloodline powers, except when the mutated bloodline replaces one of those powers."

So you still select an existing bloodline. even if it's changed it's still selected, but just modified. So you still selected Draconic bloodline, it's just altered.

It's still Draconic bloodline, it's just mixed a bit. Even that combo blooded thing would count as draconic still.

by my reading of how the wyldblooded archetype and in specific Linnorm's wording is worded anyway. Feel like Linnorm makes a point of saying it's still Draconic - likely for this sorta reason.

Now can you use the DD's bite ? That's debatable. It says when you grow claws yo ucan also grow bite but you can not grow claws.
but if you just wanted DD for durability bonuses not a big deal I guess.

Good cause my plan is to do serpentine and linnorm blooded for good AC bumps then dragon disciple for even more.

wildblooded+crossblooded presents a legality issue, I believe.

They both effect Arcana, so, technically, aren't allowed together.

Silver Crusade

Wildblooded changes arcana while crossblooded says you get both of your bloodlines arcana. So why couldn't you use them together?

hopefully i did that right - still a link novice, but yeah, no go on the xblood/wyldblood

Silver Crusade

I guess I'll have to stick with regular draconic. I'll just never select the first level ability of it then. I was going to go; 1st: serpentine, 3rd: draconic, 9th: serpentine and 15th: use that one to get the first from linnorm. I don't like claws. Especially since I'm fighting with a katana...

thats a bummer on the combo pack.

Could ask your GM though, since it doesn't really alter the end product (though they both do affect the process so the FAQ change makes sense)
Unless this is PFS then nope.

Silver Crusade

Yeah its society. Preparing a Nagaji for when it goes live.
