Character question for #5-24 Assult on the Wound

Pathfinder Society

The Exchange 5/5

I am going to be playing #5-24 Assult on the Wound at a Convention out of state this weekend, and I'm packing now. I have a number of PCs (15 now) each in different folders - each with the Chronicle sheets for the games that they played in... now for my problem

5-24 Assult on the Wound:

#5-24 Assult on the Wound
A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 3–7.

The Pathfinder Society embarks on its expedition to the lost Sky Citadel Jormurdun with a small army of allies in tow, but they are not the only ones seeking the dwarven fortress. Two of the Society’s nemeses have rallied the fiends of Frostmire to crush the Pathfinders, hoping to buy the villains enough time to secure Jormurdun first. If the campaign is to succeed, the Society’s forces will need bold leadership. Can the PCs lead their motley army to victory deep in the Worldwound?

Content in “Assault on the Wound” also contributes directly to the ongoing storylines of the Silver Crusade and Taldor factions.

Characters can benefit from numerous boons earned during other Season 5 scenarios, so players are advised to bring other earned Season 5 Chronicle sheets to the event—even if those Chronicle sheets are assigned to other characters.

"...so players are advised to bring other earned Season 5 Chronicle sheets to the event—even if those Chronicle sheets are assigned to other characters"...

Is there anyway, without spoilers, that someone could say which ones we need to bring?
Do I need the Chronicle sheets for ALL season 5 games? or can I get a limited list of which ones to bring?
I mean, do I need to bring all my PCs who have played #5-08 The Confirmation? How about #5-17 Fate of the Fiend?

Will photocopies be exceptable? Will I need any of the other parts of the PCs that earned those chronicles?

Or do I just bring the extra case for all my PCs to the table when I play?

Dark Archive

Definitly bring the ones about the army you have helped gather.
And maybe the horn of aroden one.

Basically, any sheet that have boons about how you have helped prepare for the expedition into the worldwound to the lost dwarven sky citadel.

Exactly which chronicles you need:
#5-05, #5-17, #5-10, and #5-07 are the four the scenario is looking for.

I'd bring the physical chronicles for each, if you have them.

Thank you Walter.

I'll even try to resist reading them again to avoid meta-gaming to see what they have in common.

I'm not in a position to give full details, but there are definitely more than those listed in Walter's spoiler.

From looking through, it's about half of them, depending what boons you've earned. I can't give much away without spoiling either #5-24 or those scenarios.

I wouldn't accept them, just as I wouldn't normally accept photocopied chronicles.

No, just the season 5 chronicles.

Personally I would take out only the season 5 chronicles, and use post-it notes on your case to mark which chronicle #/scenario # needs to be put back in each PC's section, rather than bringing a whole case.

Sheesh....
Ok. Got to think about this now.

John Compton posted the relevant boons, but not where they are from, in another thread

That's still not a complete list.

Spoiler:
Another boon (that appears on multiple chronicles) is mentioned on page 24 of the scenario.

Actual Spoiler:
The last four listed there by John:

Driven by Glory
Allies from Andoran
Bound for Brevoy
Horn of Aroden

Only apply to Taldan PCs, as they are the only ones that can use the Army of Exploration.

Ah well, guess that's what I get for figuring he'd be right. Point being if the developer thinks its okay to say what the boons are we don't have to be all lock and key.

That is true.

So, nosig, if you are playing a non Taldan PC, bring the following

Spoiler:
#5-05, #5-17, #5-10, #5-07, #5-02, #5-13, #5-22

If you are playing a Taldan PC, also bring

Spoiler:
#5-03, #5-11, #5-19, #5-04

Alternatively, bring all your Season 5 chronicles. :P

LOL! ok, so I'll check the first spoiler in your post, as I don't actually have a Taldan PC (other than a Judge credit kid who only has The Confirmation in season 5).

The Exchange 5/5

Will it matter if I have the Boon more than once? (I actually have one of them once on a PC and once as a Judge credit)....

I don't, but I could see someone having one as many as three times if they spent a Judge star replay to do it....

Not that it really matters that much... It's just one more folder for me at that point - not like the 8 or so more I was afraid I was going to need to drag along.

THANKS EVERYONE!

(I'll need to come back here next week and read the spoilers...)

I believe in the other thread mentioned, John Compton stated that each boon can only be applied once, so having 2-3 copies is not needed.

Just how much of a handicap would a table be at if they had none of these boons?

Little to none, I imagine. Be sure to bring the character you feel is most qualified to lead armies.

Silver Crusade 3/5

Other good choices are Taldor or Silver Crusade characters, obviously.

Which is the one with the highest charisma and most ranks in profession soldier. NOTHING else matters.

Dark Archive

Be sure to bring a character you want to play in a leadership scenario.

I would ABSOLUTELY accept photocopies as long as they are on the right PFS#. No different than printing the scanned and emailed online chronicles, or scanning and stashing your chronicles where you can recover them if your traveling binder(s) get destroyed.

Come on people. Photocopies of chronicles, including boon chronicles, including the damn signatures, shouldn't be an issue in 2014.

From what I have heard from tables without spoliers without the boons the Mod is actually EXTREMELY hard

I expect the GMs are not running it properly then. I don't want to say more as it would require spoilers.
