Given the fairly recent legalizing of Harrow options... I have two real questions...
Ultimate Equipment lists "Cards" at 1sp - 100gp... I assume that it is a 54 card deck. For PFS do we have a standardized cost for decks, or is the full cost range usable?
The Harrow Handbook makes a comment about a minimum cost of 100gp for a Harrow deck, do we have a firm cost in any other book?

Thanks for the confirmation on the Harrow deck cost... looked through Ultimate Equipment again... I hadn't looked in the Adventuring Gear section for the Harrow deck.
Now, just looking for clarification on the 'regular' playing cards...
54 Darts for 1sp seems a tad much, even at the 'cost' of a feat...

I was looking through the Harrow Handbook and found Gambit... Must make...

Harrow is so AWESOME.
I would like to note though, that a true Harrower would not use store bought cards. It's a very personal process.
The Harrow Handbook says that it requires a DC 15 Craft(cards), Craf(Calligraphy), Craft(Paintings), or a similar craft check, and 33 gp worth of materials. After you have completed at least 1000 sp (100 gp) worth of work, the deck is complete.

But PFS doesn't allow Item creation...
That being said... I will probably 'fluff' the bought cards as hand-made... just like my Gunslinger's ammo...
So... what would it cost to buy Metal Cards/Harrow Decks?
A deck of Cold Iron cards for the Fey... a deck of Alchemical Silver cards for lycanthropes...

Thats taking metalic inks to a whole new level.

Items without metal parts cannot be made from cold iron.
The alchemical silvering process can't be applied to nonmetal items.
My guess is you cannot have harrow decks made of these special materials.

Playing cards range from block-printed symbols on thick paper to elaborate, hand-painted works of art on waxed vellum, ivory, wood, or even metal.
This is a traditional fortunetelling deck of cards used by soothsayers and seers. Some harrow decks are elaborately illustrated, but most are parchment or paper cards with hand-painted images. Harrow decks are often handed down through generations and treated with utmost care by their users as a result.
The 'regular' plying Cards expressly state that they can be made out of metal. This leads to a supposition that a Harrow Deck can also be made with metal cards.

We can't make items? That's pretty insane. Sorta makes an entire skill useless... Interesting choice.
So can we just assume that it costs 100 gp for a Harrow Deck?
And sense Harrow Decks are often heirlooms past from Parent to Child, shouldn't you be able to start with one if you are a Harrowing archetype?
Okay, now that I've said it, it sounds stupid.
There should be a racial trait for Varisians that makes a Harrow Deck cost 1/2 as much.

As a Varisian, this makes me exceptionally happy.
I mean really. This is beautiful.I just shed a tear of joy.
This is even better than my idea.

Majuba, it doesn't reduce the cost of Harrow decks, it gives you the first one free.
(scribes a note for Gambit)
I know right?! It's even more AMAZING!!! (squeals like a little girl)
AHAHAHAHA!!!Harrow Harrow HARROW!!!!

It gives you the first one free, plus a bonus to initiative. And, weirdly, it's about the only thing Harrow related that was legal prior to the change. I've had it on my Kapenia Dancer Magus for some time (though, she's also been sitting at 3XP for some time, anyway). Since she'll now eventually likely go into Harrower, so much the better!

It's an extremely good feet. It's something I'll definitely pick up with my Human Bonus Feet at level one (that feels appropriate). Now that I know it'll cost at least 100 gp for a deck... GEEZ.
Now, if I could only choose which class to become my harrower... Oh decisions...

Even better. It's a trait, not a feat. So it would just be one of your two starting traits, and you can use the Human Bonus feat for something else fun.

So... <trying to get back on track>
Can we get some PFS guidelines on material and cost for Cards and Harrow decks?
We have Cards at 1sp - 100gp. For simple(block printed thick paper) to fancy(hand painter and/or exotic material).
I am assuming that Cards are basically a Hoyle deck of Poker cards (54).
-
A Harrow Deck is listed at 100gp. But the entry lacks detail about quality and material.
-
I think 3 or 4 'benchmarks' would be nice, needed given some of the Harrow options now available.
And a note of cost modification for the Harrow Deck, for the same reasons.
-
A Deadly Dealer needs to know these things... like the cost of Cold Iron, Alchemical Silver, etc decks of Cards and Harrow decks.
