darkness domain from cleric and umbral agent stacking for channel?

Rules Questions

the class feature of the umbral agent says "If he already possesses the Darkness domain from another class, his Umbral agent levels stack with levels in that class when determining the effects of his Darkness domain powers. The Umbral agent does not receive bonus spells or domain spell slots from his Umbral agent levels."

let's say i am a cleric with variant channeling darkness. Would his channel then be considered a darkness domain power and thus increase in damage dice and dc such that a 7 cleric/10 umbral agent would channel as a 17th effective cleric level?

No, they stack when determining the effects of the Darkness domain powers, and domain powers are not channeling, that's a class power.

thanks for the quick answer! i know a normal channel wouldn't count, i just didn't know if the variant channel darkness would change it.
