Server Schedule for Saturday, June 28

When is the server expected to be up tonight? I've been trying since around 3 PM but getting no response.

Early alphas are never online often, focused tests that are scheduled to ensure the maximum people online while GW can monitor the system.

Makes sense for them to only have it up on Thursday and Friday. No one will be in GW HQ to provide any 'support' for the Alpha over the weekend and starting Monday they can work on fixing bugs and implementing new features while the server is down.

Alpha Server Access

We want to concentrate player activity during the Alpha especially as we begin so that we can be sure our team is available to monitor servers and diagnose the inevitable problems. We will begin the Alpha with a limited window of availability to play, and as the Alpha proceeds we will gradually lengthen the window until we’ve reached 24x7 live operations in preparation for the start of Early Enrollment.

Each week we’ll make an announcement of the Alpha test hours for that week. This is the first week’s announcement:

To begin the Alpha server will be available from 3pm to 6am (Pacific) on Thursday, and from 3pm-6am (Pacific) on Friday.

NOTE: At this time, the client is only available for download when the Alpha server is available.

Right. That was this week's announcement. Decius sounded like he was speaking with some authority about next week's announcement so I was inquiring where that came from.

If there was an email that "just went out," I havent seen it.

Rereading the email, "Servers will be open from 3PM-6AM Thursday and Friday afternoon/nights." is actually ambiguous regarding whether it is weekly recurring or not.

I'm guessing the announcement will come at the start of next week, meaning tomorrow or Monday. Just a guess, though.

No it was just sent. June 28 8:35 PM (Central) titled Information about Alpha Testing Pathfinder Online. By the subject matter of the email it may have only been sent out to original KS alpha backers.

Right, but it sounds as though he was receiving a 2nd email last week that was describing this week's testing (noting the part about July 3rd). I was just concerned that I was missing out on something, considering the only Alpha email I had received was the original one sent last Wednesday.

Now don't I sound like an annoying, spoiled little kid: "Daddy, why does he get an extra email, and I don't???"
