If it's a Ring of Feather Falling, then I do believe that yes it would. It should automatically kick in on it's own as soon as the wearer falls more than 5 feet.

Senario:
Wizard is flying really high (above 100ft) but suddenly an arrow hit him and he reach exactly to 0 hit points, he start falling but he has a Ring of Feather Fall, can the ring work if the wearer is unconscious?.
First of all, exactly 0 HP isn't unconscious. But to get on to your question, let's look at what the ring says:
This ring is crafted with a feather pattern all around its edge. It acts exactly like a feather fall spell, activated immediately if the wearer falls more than 5 feet.
It says it is activated if you fall more than 5ft. It's written as the item functioning on its own; compare to the wording of things like hand of the mage that instead allow YOU to cast such-and-such a spell.
Since it functions on its own, you don't have to do anything to activate it; it activates on its own, automatically, whenever you fall more than 5ft.

Sounds like such a ring would be a pain in the backside for a traceur (someone doing parkour)
Also jumping from exploding buildings or jumping from hydroelectric dams to escape an Andoran Inquisitor.

There is a scenario in PFS where the ring can be suppressed quite easily. This is about the only time I can see where it would not prevent falling damage.
Heh. Any scenario where one of the baddies has dispel magic. I know I did it myself to a PC during one scenario.
The Ring's main weakness is that it has a CL of 1, so it is quite easy to dispel, even at low levels, with a target DC of only 12...

You need to target it. So you need to know what ring it is and be able to see it, so the guy wearing need to be fairly near and not wearing any kind of gloves.

The scenario I am thinking of has up to eight chances to get the ring, going from the strongest magical effect to the weakest on the character, as the person is falling. Good chance that it will get hit.
It is a targeted dispel? It work against an item.
Not a targeted dispel? It can cancel the feather fall spell cast by the ring, but that has no practical effect as the ring will cast it again as soon as the wearer has fallen another 5'.
AFAIK there is no limit to the number of times that the ring can be activated in one round.
