Hey!
I'm one of 2 DM's for a campaign with 5 players. It's a very brutal campaign, and we show our rolls. Especially when a character's life is on the line.
I want the shops, NPC's and dungeons to occasionally offer up some artefact, spell or means to cheat death should it occur. These are what I know of:
1) Resurrection spell via item, scroll or spell.
2) A handwritten adventure, where the party goes to hell/heaven to get them back.
3) Becoming a Lich/Horcux. Restricted to evil players.
4) House rules, like using Soul Shifting.

What else exists in the rules to cheat death?

I also found "reincarnate", that would also allow for an interesting racial and or gender change.

There is also wish:

And then miracle

Contingency and teleport is a good combo. I'll advise the party soon, to start setting up ways of surviving death.

You could always use binding (minimus containment) to stop your aging process and a combination of magic jar and Osirian spirit jars to "body hop" for all of eternity.
Something like my character, Hama, perhaps?
Alternatively, the entire party can benefit from scrolls of astral projection or lesser astral projection--allowing them to adventure with impunity as though they had save points.

Barring iGithyanki or anything else that can chomp through a silver cord that is.

I think you need to go either 3rd party, or make your own. I was pretty sure an astral dreadnought style thing was floating around the bestiary 4, but I might've confused it with the tome of horrors.
oh my wow, i did not realize they never ported over something that can cut a cord?!?! I will look into astral adventuring right now

Astral Projection while sitting in a private demi-plane. Nothing published in Pathfinder can kill you and only a few effects (Trap the Soul) can capture you.

Creative answer. I'll file this one away in the folder marked "End Boss"
