Way of The Wicked Recruitment. Infernal healing.

Recruitment

Dark Archive

I am searching for one player to be a healer for a way of the wicked game. If you might be interested please submit an application.

Crunch 2 traits one of which must be a campaign I am allowing one draw back.

25pts build

2 extra skill points per lvl. I recommend bluff and disguise.

The nemesis story feat. Write me up someone fun. No stats required just the fluff. But if you want to do build I may use it.

Must be a capable of being a primary healer of some sort. I would honestly prefer not a cleric due to some changes I have made. Or at least not a cleric of Asmodeus.

Last I will approve 3rd party and 3.5 material on a case by case basis. Some of it I like some I hate. If you want something ask me and find out.

Explain please. If you mean posting frequency I want someone who can post at minimum once a day.

What are the average height in the heartlands?

I'll put together an oracle tomorrow who can manage some healing. Just double checking, is necromancy going to be okay? The campaign setting screams evil necromancer to me, just wanted to make sure that was okay.

Good question. One that honestly isnt covered anywhere I can see in the book. So day five to six feet. Most trending towards the lower end....

Well, here's a very interesting halfling witch who can heal. I love the results you can get from the background generator tables.

Born the child of Mitran clergy, he fell in with a bad crowd as a kid. He was apprenticed to a witch well known for her healing magic, but then his crowd convinced him to steal some of the offerings from his parent's church just to have the cash, and it was a short road from there to stealing and melting down some of the implements for their metal value. He was caught and turned in by his older brother Jeryl and sentenced to burning to death for Desecration. When his family hears that he's escaped, his brother is sure to set out to bring this discrace on the family back to justice.

Share Spells with Familiar Can cast spells with a target of "You" on the familiar with a range of touch.

He's got the Halfling Jinx, and will be taking feats for enhancing that and adding it to witch hexes. His familiar is a weasel, and he's got the Avarice drawback. "Ok, pay me for the healing or you don't get any more." Healing is limited to one CLW per person per day, with 0-2 extra castings (starting with 1), but that's about the same as most other first level healers could do. (Other than a Healing domain cleric, anyway)

One note: Most days, I can post at least once a day, sometimes twice. However, there are days I can't post in some or all of my campaigns. On average, I think it works out, but I am not the most prolific poster.

Fair enough and quite interesting. I haven't ever really even looked at the halfling jinx stuff. But it sounds neat.

Here is an idea
manny, a human female Oracle of life seemed a pleasant, if quiet person. A gifted healer, this masked a sadistic nature. She was slated for great things in the mitran clergy, but she was obsessed with the secrets of life and death. Seeming mild and meek, her fellows were shocked when an inquisitor discovered her dissecting her latest victim, the local bishop.

Her trial and sentencing was swift, as it was discovered she had killed ten people. Stripped of her clergy, her name striken from the light, she was sentenced to death. But she escaped.

Hans Arm of Light, the inquisitor who captured her the first time, swore to end her threat. Bishop mark, the now raised final murder victim, supports hans's quest.

And for background a paragraph or two is fine. More is better as it gives me a better feel for who your character is. But by no means do you need to write a novel. So no more than say five or six paragraphs. More than that and its just a wall of txt to me honestly.

Checking in... Still working on my Witch/Diabolist.

Will strive to be concise - once I get started writing a backstory, I tend to slip into full on novella-mode very easily. :/

My submission.

Very nice.

Wild Empathy

Background:

”Argh…” the woman scream in pain as she lay in the shadows of an ash. ”Come now another push, you are almost done,” a came elderly man guided her. Another push and two screams later mother and son was united for the first time. ”A wonderful healthy boy,” the old man mumbled. ”Atten ash… he contemplated. ”Nash should be his name,” he suggested. ”Nash it is,” the tired mother replied with a happy smile on her face.

”My name is Aria,” the small girl said with a big smile as she presented her hand to a frightened boy clutching the robe of the elderly druid standing besides him. ”Now Nash don’t be afraid, Aria is an apprentice like you. One day you will stand across each other in the circle,” the druid urged his protégé.

”They shall fear Caer Bryr like the prey fears the predator,” Nash stated to Aria as the two stood in the edge of the wood assessing the damage wrought by the lumbering of the Talingarde living south of the forest. ”Be gentle Nash,” Aria suggested and continued: ”The forest will grow again. I’ll speak with Godfrey tomorrow and plead with him to preach modesty to his flock.” ”No,” Nash replied ”Enough is enough. That false god and his servants have never done us any good.”

”Now, now, now, what have we here?” Baldric mused as he walked before destruction wrought by the young man. The Alter cloth was torn, the bones from the relics broke, all sooted as Nash had tried to burn it. ”A desecration most foul my lord,” abbot Godfrey said as he stepped looked up from the destroyed relics. ”This can not go unpunished. The druid bear the entire guilt,” he continued. ”Perhaps my dear abbot, perhaps not. The good god fearing Mitrans must contribute to the reacquisition of appropriate relics. I can not have my lands unprotected,” Baldric smiled coldly. ”Any last words before I send you of to Branderscar to be burned?” he inquired. ”This will not be the last you hear from Caer Bryr” Nash threatened.

Appearance:

Age: 20 (Adult)
Size: Medium, 5'6", 130 lbs
Type: Humanoid (Human)

It is not uncommon for Nash to have a good 3 ft of personal space, as most keep well clear of him. It is not the lean frame, the unwashed dark hair, the unkempt beard, the skin light brown from dirt or the simple clothes. It is the eyes while normal blue/green in colour, they have this predatorily stare.

GM:

While I have included 3 options below for Nemesis and all are included in his background, I would prefer if Aria were to become the nemesis mentioned in the feat. I feel it would provide the most interesting differences and provide another side to the Asmodean/Mitrain conflict, as she would be uninterested in both.

Aria (NG, female, druid) Taken into the circle at almost the same time as Nash Aria is the spring to his autumn. She is gentle, caring and mild. Like Nash she divides her time between both civilised Talingarde, the barbaric Iraen and nature itself. Just as promising as Nash she has great support among most of the druids. She is in strong disagreement with Nash’s practice, this will likely change to direct opposition once she learns of his deeds to come.

Baldric Kerr (LE, male, baron) It was Baldric’s lands and in extension his power that Nash threatened each and every time he defended the wilds of Caer Bryr. It was Baldric’s House that had to use resources to calm the people after the desecration. For that he hates Nash, more over he fear what the druid would have done had he not been arrested. When Baldric learns of the flight, he will do what he can to prevent Nash from shaking the foundation of his power.

Abbot Godfrey (LG, male, abbot) Godfrey is the benevolent counterbalance to Baldric’s malevolence. The Abbot is normally a friendly forthcoming man, but he fears what consequences Nash’s actions might have both the direct threat for Nash himself and what Iraen he might rouse into action and the harsh repercussions Baldric might take. Thus he sees it as an imperative to keep Nash down – For the good of the common man and the Mitrain faith.

I am amused that everyone chose a different class to build a healer off of. (At least within submitted characters, anyway).

  • Nash the druid.
  • Arthan the witch.
  • Nemenia the bard.
  • Manny the oracle.

There's another witch and another oracle who haven't posted builds.

Sorry. Nasty chain of work, family visits, internet problems, and over-obsessive personal writing issues. :/

If you can wait until tomorrow evening, I should have plenty of time to churn out the rest of my backstory and the crunch won't take long after that.

    Dark Archive

    Okay I can wait.

As for closing. When Vel submits his we will be closed. The game has already started and you will be delivered to branderscar on the second day.

    Sounds good.

If I'm chosen late enough on Friday night, I won't be at a computer to see it until some point in the afternoon or evening on Saturday. Just a heads up that I'm not MIA. If I'm not chosen, then I still won't know, but no one will be expecting me to post. ;)

    Dark Archive

Yeah I work a double tomorrow and have a ahem "party" to attend after. I don't really expect to make a decision until Saturday morning.

But as a statement recruitment will be closed as soon as vel posts his submission.

    Dark Archive

I'm going to go ahead and back out. I've held this up too long as is and, try as I might, I cannot write this backstory without it turning into a massive wall of text (seven paragraphs thus far, but very dense paragraphs...) that I obsess over ad nauseum. I'll keep working on it and save it for a rainy day.

Best of luck to those of you in the running.

    Updated crunch.

    Dark Archive

    Nemenia your in.

    Thanks!

    Have fun!
