Stars subdomain: Which spells are affected?

Here's the replacement power from the Stars subdomain, which replaces the the 8th level power from Void.

"The Stars are Right

If you prepare your cleric spells while the stars are visible to you, you may spontaneously cast any of your Stars subdomain spells by swapping out a spell of an equal spell level. Any Stars subdomain spell that you cast while the stars are visible to you heals you of an amount of hit point damage equal to the spell's level; this effect happens as you cast the spell."

So what spells does this apply to: The spells specifically given by the subdomain as replacements, or all the spells I get from the Void/Stars domain? It looks like the former, but I'm not sure if I'm just unfamiliar with domain terminology and "Stars subdomain" is meant as Void in its entirety except when noted differently.

Anyone have this come up? My future cleric of Cthulhu would like to know.

I read it as the spells you get for domain slots, so the list of Void spells, then apply the substitutions for Stars.

Which levels of spells does Stars replace? Since the ability itself (spont-cast domain spells) sounds like what the Urban Druid does, it seems reasonable to think it means all your spells from that domain, and thus at every spell level there is a (sub)domain spell you can use this ability with. Otherwise, it would only affect spells of specific levels, which just seems like a weird ability.

It replaces the 2nd, 7th, and 9th level spells, and I agree it would be a rather odd ability if it only affected them, but I was curious if it was just me reading it that way.

In my game, it would work for all the domain's spells, but I could sympathize with a GM who says otherwise. It's the most literal reading, and our interpretation does sound a bit like a loophole a typical rules weasel would come up with. And our best argument is "the other way seems weird".

Ask your GM, explain your side of the case, and accept his ruling.

The intro to subdomains from APG indicates that a subdomain is a domain; it's the whole, altered domain, not just the appendix. In other words, your first and third level domain spells are Stars domain spells as well.
