Hi all,
I've got a quick question, (goddess, I hope so anyway)
I've got a concept of a pistol wielding character throwing alchemical grenades, which works well with the alchemist (grenadier) concept. I was wondering however with the fast bombs discovery, can I alternate shots from a pistol (using rapid reload, and paper cartridges), assuming no misfires, and using bombs, using only my regular bab? Not using two weapon fighting, as I'm not trying for extra attacks, just a pistol shot or two, plus a thrown bomb at a farther target or something like that.
Thanks!

What would be stopping you here is putting the pistol away to draw a grenade and then drawing it again to fire are both move actions.
Quickdraw as written would reduce drawing it as a free action, but putting it away would still be a move action.
You can try to convince your GM to house rule Quickdraw to apply to putting a weapon away as well.
With that and Fast Bombs, I think it might be possible.

Hi all,
Greetings!

Absolutely. Nothing in the Bomb class feature states how many free hands you need. Since you can "two-weapon fight" with just bombs, you can absolutely use one hand for your bombs and the other for your pistol.

Indeed. Say you have a BAB of +6. Your first attack could be with your pistol, and your second with your bomb, or vice versa, or two pistol shots, or two bombs (but only with the Fast Bombs discovery, which you already mentioned, so you should be good to go!).
Thanks!
You're welcome!

The only time you incur penalties for TWFing is when you use your off hand to gain an extra attack, in addition to your iterative attacks.
If you're only using your iterative attacks, it doesn't matter where your attacks are coming from (left hand, right hand, foot, head, tail), you don't incur TWFing penalties.

Where is that rule?
