Pathfinder Society and Gold and Gear

Pathfinder Society

I played my first pathfinder society game today.

How does the gold situation work?

I made 511 from the session and 20 from a day job. Although I did start with a 150. Do I liquidate my items bought and have 681 to buy gear for the next session or do I have 531 and keep my gear I bought previously?

Thanks,

...Did you read the pathfinder society character creation guide?
Long answer..read it completely.
Short answer to get you going you keep the gear you have. If you had any remaining gold left you would add it to the 20 day job and 511 gained.

Grand Lodge 4/5

Before your first session, you buy any equipment you want out of a budget of 150 gp, recording anything over 25 gp value on the Inventory Tracking Sheet. Any gold left over is your Starting GP on your first Chronicle.

After the adventure, you still have the gear you bought, unless you used up or broke anything, in which case you mark it as Expended on the ITS.

You add 511 gp for the scenario and 20 gp for your day job to your gp on hand, deduct any gold that you spent in the adventure or to clear conditions, buy anything else you want and put it on the ITS if its value is high enough, put the total you spent in Gold Spent, add everything up and make a Total. The GM should, in theory, sign off on this as a completed Chronicle.

Before you play the character at 2nd level, you can rebuild it completely between games if you choose. Among other things, you can spend 150 gp plus all that you've earned, less gold spent and the cost of expended items, on different equipment. From your first Chronicle at 2nd level or higher, you can only get back gold by selling items at half price.

Thank you!

You keep any gear that you bought but none of the gear found during the adventure, also before you play your first adventure with a level 2 character you can sell back anything that you bought at full price but when you play that character at level to it follows the half price sell back rule.

Just think of it as a communist organization. Your party brought everything you found back to the society and the gnome accountants tallied it up and then handed you 511 gold. The chronicle sheet loot you can pretty much ignore: by the time you can afford it you should be buying it with the fame mechanic.

This saves time on counting every last copper you found, and dividing it up between how many players there are (so players don't always try to insist on a four person table for maximum loot)

Do not question the gnome accountants.

Do not worry about thegnome accountants.

Just take your gold, smile, and back away veeeery slowly.
