Just for the fun of making a odd NPC i made a halfling that bit in combat named Cheu. As a goof it worked but then I realized that with the right rage powers using natural weapons is viable.
But 1st level it seems I have no choice but to use a weapon until he gains a rage power.
What is a good build to make a barbarian that uses tooth and claw. It can be any race.
The beast totem give two claw attacks at D6. Can I take Improved natural weapon?

5 attacks? wouldn't the rage claws just replace the ranger claws?
Might be a great fit.
That's a lot of damage. If I take improved natural weapon and power attack that's 2D8+20 & 1d6+10 in claw&bite damage (raging) 3d6+30 normal plus bite. If
Yes, yes they would replace the ranger claws (mostly because they are the better of the two). This is an issue that has been gone over extensively in the rules forum (and almost always with catfolk barbarians raised by half orcs, for some odd reason).
Basically, you can't have more claw attacks than you have valid limbs for those claws to go on. And for bipedal creatures, those limbs are only the arms. The legs could only get talons according to designer commentary (well, there are also hooves, I suppose, but we are sticking to the scratchy bits here).
That ranger dip might not be a terrible idea though. You only get the beast totem claws when you are raging (or if someone is willing to cast a rage spell on you). Having the constant claws from Aspect of the Beast would give you your full suite of attacks at all times.

Check out a boy and his dog on Alexander Augunas blog for a nice mad dog barbarian with a wolf companion build. Read why it's not too bad going halfling with it in his previous blog post: where have all the halfling fighers gone.
