Hey all. As the title says, I'm having some difficulty selecting my two feats for level 5.
Character build so far.
Level 5 Bladebound Kensei Magus (Tiefling)
Stats
18, 17, 13, 18, 12, 8
Feats so far;
1.Improved Initiative, Exotic weapon: Katana (Kensei), Weapon Focus: Katana (Kensei)
3.Power Attack
5.?, ?
So this is where I'm stuck. I get 2 feats at level 5, one being a magus bonus feat that can be an item creation, combat or metamagic feat. I've ruled out item creation since we are all new to the game and have no idea how to use it correctly.
My playstyle focuses on buffing up and heading into melee. I've realized I don't need combat casting and intensify spell is going to be put off until level 7.
I was thinking about extra arcane pool perhaps, or blind fight to go for moonlight stalker later. I just don't know and would like to here some opinions or suggestions. I'm still pretty new to the game and I'm sure theres some great feats out there that I've overlooked.
Any help would be appreciated.

Are you starting at level 5? that will change my opinion a bit but ill try .
im going to say that at this point a little bit of extra AC would be good. as such im going to say armor of the pit would be could for the +2 AC.
Also id definitely get magical lineage for one of your traits. Reactionary is good choice too.

Agree that magical lineage is a "no-brainer" trait for the Magus. If your GM doesn't allow traits, then you can still use a feat to pick them up (and it's a pretty good use of the feat, too, in this case).
One option that you might pick is spell specialization (this takes spell focus as a prerequisite, so it'll take up both of your feats). This allows you to bump the caster level of one spell of your choice by +2, and you can retrain your spell choice every time you level up. This is a nice boost at low-levels, and pairs well with the intensify spell metamagic at higher levels.

Thanks for the tips guys. We just hit level 5 and am trying to decide on two feats.
I was strongly considering extra traits picking up magical lineage and wayang spell hunter.
Furious focus doesn't seem too bad. I'm wondering if Extra arcane pool is worth a slot, since I can spend arcane points to maximize damage or bump up crit multipliers.
Armor of the Pit was something I was heavily considering when building the character, at this point I'm thinking I probably didn't need to pick up power attack.
