I am working on the main villain of my adventure.
He is going to be a powerful Drow from a different dimension (as a matter of fact, the dimension my story takes place in Drow do not exist and regular elves are an ancient myth). I want him to be the master of darkness and shadow.
I was looking into what class(es) to have him be as far as when the party goes to fight him (so, no rush as this will be a ways off). Shadow dancer seems almost prefect, but it may be a little too focused on being a rouge first. I really want this guy to be all about having the shadows do his work for him, he wouldn't really be getting close to do his dirty work.
So I was wondering, if people knew if a Shadow dancer with no rouge levels is possible (currently thinking heavy in sorcerer), or if I could have him be a "ranged" rouge, or if there was another class (prestige or not)that may work better for my needs. Or if anyone else has done something similar, and what did / didn't work for them.
Thanks in advance.

The requirements for Shadow Dancer are pretty open to every class.
Skills: Stealth 5 ranks, Perform (dance) 2 ranks.
Feats: Combat Reflexes, Dodge, Mobility.
Sure, few classes actually take Perform (dance), even less common if it's not a class skill, but anybody with DEX 13+ (for dodge/mobility) can qualify.
Now you got me wondering about making a paladin/shadow dancer.

That would be pretty awesome! Only work if you are willing to smudge the alignment a little. If i recall shadow dancer's cannot be lawful. Personally, as GM, I say EFF it, shadow dancer pally sounds awesome.
I wasn't worried too much about requirements, more so the bonuses to sneak attacks / rouge talents. I supose I do not have to have him utilize those features
