Druid spells per day / meditation clarification

Rules Questions

So im very new at DMing, and decided to try out pathfinder. Have a first lvl druid in the party but im finding we are prob doing a few things wrong and she is much more powerful then she should be..

-first, for daily meditation, are druids allowed to just stop as many times a day that they wish and take an hour and meditate to change spells? or are they only allowed to do that once a day?

-second, if they are allowed to meditate more then once a day, does that "recharge" the number of spells per day she can do? or is she simply only allowed to change the spells she knows

-3rd, i did finally just see the fine print on this, but want to make sure, she has a wisdom mod of 2, allowing her 1 extra first and 2nd lvl spell, but is she only allowed those spells ONCE her character lvl lets her? basically she has 14 wis which gives her an extra 2nd lvl spell, but she is only a first lvl druid, and wont have normally gotten a 2nd lvl spell till 3rd lvl, does she have to wait till 3rd lvl to have access to the extra 2nd lvl spell?

sorry hope this isnt to confusing

Meditation for spells is only done once a day, (that wont stop someone meditating more often but it will not allow more spells, change spells or to recharge).

Bonus spells are only allowed if you can cast at that level (ie the bonus level 2 spell is only allowed once the druid has reached character level 3)

alright thank u! gonna have to break the news to my druid pc (my g/f) shes goin to not be very happy about it.. sigh lol

-3rd, 14 wis which gives her an extra 2nd lvl spell

1) You meditate once a day. Any open slots you left open may be filled during future meditations, but you can't replace spent slots or learned slots, just open slots.

2) Doesn't change anything related to spent spells and you can't change any spells previously memorized.

3) You can't cast spell levels you can't cast and you can't use spell slots you don't have because you can't cast spells that level.

Your player either doesn't understand the rules, or is outright cheating and using your inexperience to enable it.

The druid only gets the listed number of spell slots in the class description per day. He has to meditate to prepare those spell slots. He can meditate more than once per day, but it does not benefit him unless he left some slots unprepared. He does not need to prepare all available slots at once, and can meditate to prepare them later in the day. However, once a slot is prepared he cannot lose the prepared spell to prepare something else until the next day when he gets new spell slots.

You are correct about bonus spells. You don't get them until you are a high enough level at which you could normal cast those spells. For a druid, this means no 2nd level bonus spells until you are at least a level 3 druid.

1. You can only refresh new spells 1/day, but if he left a spell slot open, he can spend an hour putting in a spell later.

2. Only change unused spells.

3. She can only use the bonus spells when you have 1 2nd level.

You can't change unused, only open slots.

If you memorize Entangle, but don't use it you still can't change that Entangle to Cure Light Wounds until the next day to refresh spells.

One exception to what everyone has posted so far that I didn't think about earlier:

Druids can spontaneously convert any spell slot into an equivalent Summon Nature's Ally spell, however the full description of how it functions is listed in the Druid's class description.

Thank you guys for all the responses , i appreciate the help
