Can you use Blood Money to pay the component cost of Planar Binding?
Note the offering of 500 gp and the payment are listed in the Components line of the spell description. This seems to indicate that you could use Blood Money but it just feels wrong.
"Components V, S, M (offerings worth 500 gp plus payment, see text), DF"
Blood Money
"When you cast another spell in that same round, your blood transforms into one material component of your choice required by that second spell. Even valuable components worth more than 1 gp can be created, but creating such material components requires an additional cost of 1 point of Strength damage, plus a further point of damage for every full 500 gp of the component's value (so a component worth 500–999 gp costs a total of 2 points, 1,000–1,500 costs 3, etc.)."

I think you mean Planar Ally, not Planar Binding. I'd allow Blood Money to provide the 500gp but not the offerings. The creature actually takes the offerings as payment for performing the task. It takes 1 round to negotiate the terms of the spell with the summoned creature. In this time, the offerings will have disappeared and can't be used. Not to mention that even if you did convince the creature with the Blood Money offerings, and they disappeared the next round, it would probably either kill you or teleport out.
Edit: Not to mention the fact that the spell has a 10 minute casting time and many GMs like to rule that you can't use Blood Money on a spell that can't be completed in the same round you cast Blood Money.

Uh...no Planar Binding does not have such a component listed.
Planar Ally does have such text, but that's calling an ally from your deity to aid you, not making a bargain per se. Blood sacrifice seems perfectly appropriate there.

Sorry about the confusion I did mean Planar Ally.
My sorceress is considering researching Planar Ally instead of Planar Binding. She does not believe in enslaving other beings and thus does not like Planar Binding.
You don't have to enslave with Planar Binding. You can summon something say "Sorry about the inconvenience, would you like to make a deal? If not, feel free to head home*."
And then have things they want on offer. You can even get a good working relationship going with a few, since you can summon them by name.
*Technically, they have to complete a task before they pop home, but it can be "Fetch me that mug over there." if you like.

Keep in mind however, that certain beings will be enraged just by being summoned, and will lash out without talking unless contained.

True. This is why Good aligned Outsiders are recommended for this procedure. Or ones you already have a working relationship with.
