Hi Everyone,
I'm wanting to make a summoning-focused caster for my next PFS character with liberal use of the Summon Good Monster and Augment Summoning feats. His background is that he is a Mwangi hermit that was sent by a Couatl to aid the Pathfinder Society; the hermit a small part of the winged serpent's grand plan. This character is good to the core but ignorant of most social customs and laws (he's a hermit) and this tends to get him into trouble or convince the general populace that he is one coin short of a full purse, probably both.
I'm having trouble decided on a class. I originally thought summoner but the eidolon would be a waste. I also thought conjurer wizard (can have SF, Augment Summoning, and Summon Good Monster all at 1st level), but, I'm not sure if I want to deal with prepared spells. I've also been thinking of either Sorcerer or Oracle, but, I don't see any good summoning focused bloodlines/mysteries.
So, I'm stuck. Please help. Thanks for the advice...

Go summoner. The class is quite good without the eidolon. Make the eidolon a small coatl-like serpent or jaguar-like creature--or an ancestor, or even a personal/household "god"--and use it as a skill monkey. Bonus points if you make it good at social situations. Most of the time, you can leave it at home; it would get in the way of your summon spells anyway.

Specifically, Master Summoner.

Master summoners aren't allowed in PFS.

I spaced the part about LibraryRPGamer saying this was for Pathfinder Society - in that case, I'd actually recommend AGAINST a Summoner for what they want. A Conjurer does work great for this (and if your gaming group is anything like mine, the spell preparation process winds up being glossed over as much for pragmatism's sake as anything else), and with regard to a fitting Sorcerer Bloodline, Arcane, Celestial, Destined, Serpentine, and Starsoul (and their Wildblooded variants) are all great choices.

The elven archetype spell binder allows you to swap out your prepared spells for a chosen spell for each level. Take summon monster for this spell at each level and you never have to prepare any summon spells, but can cast them when you need to. This would mean that you have to be an elf, but elves are native to the region.

I think you can go a lot of ways and still be good.
Summoner can work, don't worry about the Eidolon.
Conjurer can work, don't forget to use battlefield control too.
Saurian Shaman can work, Starlight Summons and Moonlight Summons are good feats.
Cleric can work, worship Desna and take the Liberation and Good (Azata) domains.

Thanks for the advice everyone.
Does the summing sla work with the summon good monster feat?
And which is more "important" - Summoning as a standard action or Summoning strong monsters?
If I go sunmoner and have my eidolon out at the start of combat it still would net a full round action to get my first summoned critter out. A standard to dismiss the eidolon and a second standard to summon the monster on the next round. So, does the summoner give me any real benefit towards what I want to do?

Sorcerers and Oracles make poor summoners because they have 8 levels where they are behind the curve. At levels 3,5,7,9,11,13,15, and 17 they are using a sub par summon spell. I think that summoning as a standard action is nice in some groups and mandatory in others. If the group likes to sit around and buff, debuff and control the battlefield then don't worry as much about speed. If they are more into charging, blasting and shooting then speed is mandatory. As for strong monsters it helps, but much of the use of summoning is to get healers, buffers, and meatshields. Druids worry more about having strong monsters because they are using the Nature's Ally list not the Monster list and have less SLA choices and more melee choices.

Go with Oracle of Nature, pick up Bonded Mount and Friend to animals. You have a constant ally, summon monster and summon natures ally so you can take all the summoning feats. Sunlight, starlight and moonlight summons will all apply to your summon monster spells as well.
Take the blackened curse to have some blast spells to use when you aren't summoning.
Consider the Flagbearer feat as a further boost to your monsters.
