Stacking arch types

Advice

I wanted to go monk and four winds empty ghost with a qinggong overlaying that just loose the punishing kick. From what i read of archtypes there a guide line of what u can loose and switch is it possible to make this monk class?

You mean hungry ghost?

No, thi stacking does not work since both four winds and hungr ghost replace the same ability (stunning fist).

You get a better return if you take Hungry ghost and then get the dragon style feats that let you use Elemental fist as a four winds monk.

You can only stack archetypes when they do not replace or modify the same ability. Since both Hungry Ghost and Monk of the Four Winds replace stunning fist these archetypes do not stack. When you take an archetype it is all or nothing you cannot pick and choose what your abilities.

Thanks Knave but since quinggong goes with anything thats good to go though right?

Ayupp.

@Mysterious Stranger: Except if you are a quinggong I guess.

And on with stacking, Master of many style while in dragon style and tiger style ( dragonstyle, dragon ferocity, and tiger style and tiger claw) level 5 Hungry ghost master of many styles and qinggon cause u got to have true strike and whatever other ability deny death scorching ray or barkskin

str 22 for purposes of tally this all up if i have it right.

attack +8 (minus one from power attack)

1d8 unarmed
+11 power attack and str1 1/2)
+9 first attack in dragon style
+3 Dragon ferocity due to str

1d8+23 with the tiger claw 2d8+43

As a note though, the Qinggong can't replace any of the class abilities that your other archetype replaces. So, for example, if you're combining it with Hungry Ghost Monk you couldn't replace Diamond Body with a ki power because that is already being swapped out for Life from a Stone by the HGM.

ya that part i got i was wondering about the one double fist attack that both those style feats alone with the master of many styles has got going for it, loosing flurry of blows is big so i was seeing how i could take advantage of that. I think at level 5 using this set i will get melee results i am looking for. Maybe even put cleave back on the map
