Im thinking of building a Myrmidarch and came up with two questions....
1- Normal Magus spellstrike ability allows them to deliver touch attack spells like Shocking Grasp through their weapon as a melee attack. At 4th level the Myrmidarch gains the ability to deliver ranged touch attack spells like Ray of Enfeeblement through his ranged weapons.
Does he ever gain the ability to deliver touch attack spells like Shocking Grasp via his bow? If so, when?
2- Back in ancient times (2ed) there was a weapon, I think called the Elven Reinforced Bow, that could be used as both a bow and a quarterstaff. Does anything like that exist in pathfinder besides the ranger Bowstaff spell?
as always, thanks in advance!

1. No. A myrmidarch has both normal spellstrike and ranged spellstrike, but they work on different categories of spells. You cannot shoot someone with an arrow charged with Shocking Grasp and you cannot poke someone with a sword and deliver Ray of Enfeeblement.
However, you can take the Close Range Arcana to use ray or other ranged touch spells with a melee spellstrike.

A dip into Monk of the Empty Hand would allow you to wield any bow as an improvised quarterstaff without penalties.

I hadn't thought of that. That gives me an idea... Hmmm, Frostbite on Manyshot + rapid shot + free attack + iteratives... Stacking those -2s is bad, though, especially on a 3/4 BAB character, but Manyshot just says "when making a full attack" so: 1st round Spell Combat Rime Reach Frostbite, Manyshot, Free Attack, Iterative, 2nd round Manyshot, rapid shot, iterative = 8 attacks with 8d6+64 of rider damage + fatigue + 1 round of entangle. Or just Intensified Reach Shocking Grasp, Manyshot, Free attack, iterative for one big hit.
Not sure that both Manyshot arrows would pick up the Frostbite, but it's worth considering. Definitely not the cookie cutter magus, and takes longer to get rolling, but there's potential there. Might be worth trying as a GM credit character in PFS, not sure that I would want to level him from 1 though.

well, nuts.....I was looking at the Arcane Archer's ability to deliver area spells with the bow and was hoping that using the myrmidarch was a way to eventually deliver just about any spell that way. The meta feat might be a way to sort of do it, but with the already-diminished casting from the archetype Im not sure its viable.
And the monk is a great suggestion, but I was already considering some zen archer to get all the archery feats.....
thanks all for the quick responses!

Deylinarr, I am in the same direction. Although I went Archer 4 rather than Monk(to obtain ranged disarm and weapon specialization), then Magus 5, then AA 3, then back to magus for the balance. Although I'm split between Magus 5 or Magus 7 before AA in order to obtain Fighter Training / Greater Weapon Focus.
(Blackstorm) - Spell combat doesn't work with bows. There are several threads on this discussion. I wish it did.

2. Not that I've seen.
What you can do if I'm reading the feat correctly is charge up your bow with Arcane Strike.
