Paladin of Irori

Homebrew and House Rules

Hey guys,

Thought I might say, Awesome Archetype! I have one issue with it, that is its skills. Following a deity with the portfolio of History, Knowledge, Self-perfection and only having the Knowledges of Religion and Nobility made it seem a bit lacking. I was going to recommend the following.

Change the Wording of its skills with the following.

Class Skills

The Iroran paladin's class skills are Acrobatics (Dex), Climb (Str) Craft (Int), Diplomacy (Cha), Handle Animal (Cha), Heal (Wis), Knowledge (dungeoneering) (Int), Knowledge (geography) (Int), Knowledge (history) (Int), Knowledge (religion) (Int), Profession (Wis), Ride (Dex), Sense Motive (Wis), Spellcraft (Int), Swim (Str).

These replace the additional class skills from her class.

OR

Skills: An Iroran paladin gains Acrobatics, Climb, Swim, and all Knowledge skills as class skills.

Silver Crusade

Just Multiclass into Monk and take the Champion of Irori PrC, then you're set.

problem solved

You cannot, as the Iroran Paladin gives up Smite Evil.

the glancing to make sure also made me consider also adding linguistics.

Bump?

The idea of an Iroran Paladin/Monk/Champion of Irori is awesome... but with substitution of smite Evil, cannot be done.

I would suggest either allowing Personal Trial to count as Smite Evil (for feats/stacking/prerequisites) or allow Champion of Irori to have either Smite Evil or Personal Trial.

easy to house rule for home games, but would love to play one in PFS

You can.

Take three levels of Chevalier. You get back everything you traded away.

yeah... at level 11.

Assuming 4 levels of monk (or less), you can't take Chevalier until level 8 (+6 BAB). Doesn't quite work for PFS
